lovely hotel on the east coast of SantoriniPosted 08/10/2013
loved the blue bay villas hotel: the room was comfy (the bed was a bit hard but that's common in Greece): the pool was amazing and you're only a 2mns walk to the beach. There's a lovely taverna 10mns walk from the hotel, and a little shop to buy what you may need 5mns walk away. The hotel is on the quieter eastern coast, near the airport: we rented a car and got to see most of Santorini, without the crowds.

Staff not very accommodating, noisy.Posted 29/09/2013
Pros: Not much, but did have a nice pool.
Cons: Change of staff and a few more amenities in the room. Make the guests aware to be quiet.
Location: Location out of town near the airport, better to stay in Kamari.
We stayed at this hotel for our last night on Santorini as we had an early flight the next morning to Athens. Upon arrival the staff were not very friendly. We had to leave early and wanted to borrow a kettle for a cup of coffee in the morning, nothing in the room for a cuppa, not good at all. They would not lend us one, they could have easily got it from the room in the morning for the breakfast service. We were also kept up most of the night with the people above us doing their washing, showering and stomping around. I think it could have been the manager's residence actually. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything. Really bad experience, would not stay there again.

Good clean hotel with helpful staff and a lovepoolPosted 14/08/2013
Comfortable, airy room with good storage space. Lovely pool area and good pool bar. The owner was very helpful and gave good advice and organised our excursions. Breakfast minimal, we supplemented it by buying some of our own.

Excellent servicePosted 11/06/2013
Pros: Very kind and helpful receiptionist and owner in briefing us about the island
Cons: Some minor transportation difficulties
Location: Relatively far from the major city
The receptionist and the owner are very nice and helpful. A very comfortable place to live but it's slightly far from the cities like Thira and Oia.

Got the blues at Blue Bay Villas, SantoriniPosted 23/07/2012
Cons: Everything was below par....the receptionist was sweet and helpful
The rooms are terribly designed and are tiny....the bathroom ends even before it begins. The location....lesser said the better....at one corner of the island, which is far away from any action the city has to offer. The breakfast buffet is appalling and has nothing to offer expect for bread, cornflakes and coffee. Bad idea to pick this hotel

Blue Bay Villa's SantoriniPosted 13/06/2012
Pros: Room with sea views and balcony overlooking the pool.
Cons: Breakfast was fine but limited
Location: In the middle of the Island - Busses to main towns - 2 walk mins from the beach. Dont worry about the Airport - it's not a problem
If you want a really quiet peaceful and immaculately clean hotel, this is the place for you. The proprietor - "Nota" - is just lovely. Helpful, accommodating and kind. The hotel is small (26 rooms) family run and spotlessly clean. The only tiny criticism is that the breakfast is very limited. Tea, Coffee, fruit squash, Greek yoghurt with honey, bread, butter and conserves and it's the same every day. This was fine for us but may be limited for people used to all inclusive buffet style. We went to the local shop 2 minutes walk away and bought fruit to supplement. We were there the first week in June. The weather was fab and we spent a few days either by the pool or on the beach (2 mins away) - VERY QUIET and Peaceful. We hired a quad bike for 3 days and went all over the island. Alos went on a boat trio one day which was mazing value and beautiful, stopping off at various points including the volcano and swimming in the hot springs. Don't worry about the Hotel's proximity to the Airport. It's really not a problem. I promise you,you don't even notice!! Hotel is really suited to couples. Enjoy this paradise Island and simple and quite hotel. x

Value for moneyPosted 18/08/2011
Upon arrival a slight misunderstanding with the room having two single beds rather than a double on booking we paid and booked for a double but we had a room with two singles as they had seemed to over book.."...this is peak season ! Was the response even though we had booked 3 months in advance the next morning requesting a room change we got one after someone else checked out. The hotel was close to the beach and very quiet the pool is great. The staff were helpful and friendly. If you stay here u will need to hire a scooter or atv to get around would recommend got to the love boat bar at Kamari beach about 5minutes drive great bar friendly good atmosphere. Overall this hotel was great value for money , had clean rooms , the bar grudges need to be colder
