“Very nice”
This hotel was very nice. Not only was it very clean and well kept, the staff were extremely kind and helpful. It's walking distance from the airport and the closest town is about 10 minutes away. The continental breakfast was good with plenty of food and choices. I would definitely stay there again.
“Nice place to stop”
Would recommend ths hotel to anyone passing through the area. Hotel is located in a business park that is only partially developed (so is away from main part of town and in a quiet area; nice for walking). Front desk staff was good, and breakfast was excellent. Only caution - mapquest directions to this hotel are not correct. Would recommend calling for directions.

Much impressed with facility. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great shower. Breakfast good. I travel a good amount and this one goes one my will-stay again list.

Very nice new hotel close to Acata airport. Nice quiet location with a view of the ocean at sunset. We really enjoyed our stay there.

We came up to check out Humboldt State for my daughter and wanted someplace close to the airport. Staff was nice, breakfast was ready at 4:30am, all around a nice place to stay!
“Best Humboldt County Hotel”
It's not a 5 star resort nor a 4 star luxury hotel. But for 3 stars, it is as good as you'll find with top-notch staff, clean, spacious and comfortable rooms and beds, a safe plus convenient neighborhood, and a decent hearty breakfast buffet. In all our exploration of Humboldt County, no other hotel looked better.

“Great Redwoods Location!”
The Holiday Inn Express in McKinleyville was a perfect stay. The hotel was lovely with all the amenities and in a great location --- central to most things you wanted to do in the Northern area. The small downtown area has everything including a wonderful Mexican restaurant where we ate called Luzmilla's. I highly recommend the location.
“Good overnight hotel compared to Eureka”
My wife and two sons drove from Vancouver, BC down the Oregon and Northern California coast and through to SF. I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others. The hotel is conveniently located just off highway 101 and situated on a quiet hillside adjacent a small airport. Apparently it is a working airport but during our stay we didn't hear a single plane. All the staff were very friendly. The hotel is clean, the rooms are a little larger than most of these types of hotels with furnishings that are modern and new, the indoor pool area is small but good, and there is a decent fitness room. Breakfast is included and while the sitting area is small the options are what you would expect: yogurt, cereal, pancakes (via a pancake making machine), ham, eggs, muffins, juices, coffee and so on. They probably could have cleaned it better while it was open. Lots of young kids means lots of food on the floor and tables. The other option was to stay in Eureka and after driving through I'm glad we gave it a miss apart from the fantastic Sequoia Zoo.
