“Fantastic for couples or business travellers.”

Fantastic room, cannot fault the cleanliness and decor inside the room. Only down point was the decor on the outside and in the reception. Would return.

“Inexpensive but dull (and certainly not in Bath!)”

I misunderstood that this hotel was in Bath (it's not). If you don't mind a 15-30 minute drive (depending on traffic) then it's an economical and reasonably comfortable alternative to the city centre, but the hotel itself and surroundings are devoid of any character. Fitness centre seems to be the main attraction, for those interested.

“Ok for a 1 night stay”

Hotel was clean & rooms tidy although quite small on the whole. Hotel does specify it's no smoking throughout, so shame to look out of our window 1st thing on the morning to see someone hanging out of the window opposite! My husband did pick up that actually there were no smoke alarms in the rooms. Pool & facilities on the small side. Ok for one night stay, not sure we'd stay for longer than that.

“Hotel near Bath, UK. Area”

This a a rather quaint small boutique hotel outside of Bath. The road to Bath is about 15 miles, however due to road construction give yourself about one hour travel time. Rodstock itself is a neat little village with a Tourist Steam train and musuems. So it can work well for the traveler though the UK. The hotel is on a golf course so everything is green. There is NO LIFT in the hotel so be preparred to carry your own luggage up a flight of narrow steps to your rooms or ask for help. The staff of the hotel runs a tight ship so any reasonable request is considered. Clean and non-smoking so the hotel smells and fells fresh, but ask for a fan in that the rooms have no ventialation nor air conditioning. There is a business like HOME DEPOT accross the street so you may hear some truck traffic early in the moring if the windows are open. For a 3 star european hotel I would rate the Hotel overall a 3 (OK) for a few nights.
