“Incredible view from cozy comfort”

The long-awaited snow arrived while we were in Queenstown, but we were toasty warm in the Mercure and had an unbelievably beautiful view of the lake--be sure to ask for a lakeview room! We had the best sleeps of our entire month-long trip at the Mercure (great king-size bed). The Mercure could be even better--the outside hot tub should be a lot hotter and the beautiful swimming pool should be heated. The restaurant seemed overwhelmed (food was good and reasonably priced, but the service was slow). But the sauna was great, and the staff friendly and helpful.

“Great Hotel, Fantastic View”

Everything about the hotel was great, couldnt ask for anything more, if you needed anything you got it. The location was slightly out of the way but it wasnt alot in a taxi and you could also walk it. The view from the hotel was stunning, theres no-one who could not be impressed. For the money this was outstanding..would definately go back.

“Great hotel”

Great Hotel! Great Views... the only thing that I did not liked was the internet price, too expensive.

“Impressive”

The hotel was really impressive and the qualilty of the staff was excellent. I would stay there anytime the view from the hotel room was impressive, the only thing i would suggest was proably a microwave in the rooms Our room was always cleaned and made up before we returned each day

“Mercure Resort in Queenstown was great!”

we loved Queenstown. we were here during the summer of Jan 2007. the hotel is quite nice, and has a spectacular view of the lake. it is a short walk to the city center, but it is doable. because it is a walk away, the prices are very reasonable, and the hotel is up on a hill so you get a nice view. I would certainly stay here again. the room was the best during our whole trip in new zealand.

“One of the better values in Queenstown”

We stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions during vacation in Queenstown. The first time was in their cheapest room (pool view). The hotel is clean, breakfast is reasonably good and it was one of the least expensive hotels in Queenstown. On the negative side, it is about 2km from town and up a big hill. During our second stay a few days later, we requested the cheapest rooms again (a bit higher than the price on Expedia) and received a free upgrade to a mountain view room where we stayed for 3 nights. Great view and big room with two queen beds. I'd recommend staying here if you want the privacy of a hotel room on a restricted budget.

“Great views from the bar !!”

A large hotel complex that sometimes can feel too spreadout - I found myself jogging down corridors to and from reception !! However the rooms are large and clean with comfy beds and sky tv. Good facilities include a sauna, pool and laundry. The view from the bar as the sun sets on the mountains is worth the room cost alone. Be aware this is a 15min walk to centre of Queenstown downhill - the walk back is very steep at times. Buses do stop outside hotel into town centre.

“Superb in overall cost-effective term”

Got lucky upgrade to lake view. The room has a stunning Queenstown lake view. Room is clean, good sized and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, in a breakfast room overseeing the lake. We got a good price as it was nonrefundable in booking. I'd say it's Superb in overall cost-effective term.
