“Great Stay!”
Stayed from Apr 21-25. Staff was excellent and attentive, anything we needed Luis was there to help. Beautiful surroundings at the Reserve pool. Food was good, don't believe the reviews that the food is horrible. Ventouse was the best. Gabi was nice for breakfast buffet. Would def go again!
“Perfect Stay!”
This beautiful resort is part of a bigger Paradisus resort. It is big enough by itself with pool, tennis courts, spa and dining places. You have a full access to the main resort which is huge! Rooms here are modern and HUGE with two Jacuzzies. Oversized balcony! To my knowledge The Reserve was built three years ago - so everything is practically new. All staff members were most caring and attending!!! Special thanks goes to Jasmin (hotel manager), Carlos (tennis coach) and Jose (waiter at Vento restaurant). This Reserve is a bit away from the beach but there is always a golf car waiting for you. Ride to the see takes about a minute! As far as food goes - Gaby Club has a great buffet and is open most of the day - staff is most caring and friendly. I didn't really like Aqua restaurant - we only ate there the first night since we didn't make reservation to anywhere else... all other nights we were dining in main resort. FYI, ride to The Reserve from the airport is $30, from resort to the capital Santo Domingo is $260... seriously, cabbies there charge more than in NYC!!! P.S. Don't get too excited about hotel credits. This is how it works: say you have two $20 coupons towards wine in restaurant - you pick $40 bottle only to find out at the end that you can only apply one of the coupons towards wine i.e. $20 and pay the rest out of pocket. The bottle is really worth about $10 in NY so even with coupon you end up paying double the fair price. Same goes for Spa...
“Great hotel for families with kids.”
Very pleasant stay, no problems. Great service, food, kids zone, swimming pool. Friendly staff.
“Beautiful Resort”
Wonderful resort - rooms are magnificent and the restaurants are great. Perfect vacation!
“Friendly staff and very clean, well kept resort.”
The people working at the resort were so nice and helpful.
“Great experience - we hope to be back”
All 7 days of stay are simply great! It is our 6th visit to Punta Cana - it was the best one.
“Fantastic family friendly place!”
We traveled with two children aged 1.5 and 4.5 and found this hotel to be a perfect place for families. The service is fantastic, especially for the kids. We upgraded to the Family Concierge Service, so our kids enjoyed balloon bubble baths, nightly "turn down" service with treats and a variety of other fun surprises.
“Best Resort”
We have been visiting Punta Cana for years and have always enjoyed the resorts and food, but the service, hospitality and all around quality we just experienced at The Reserve was superb. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful from the pools to the rooms. But one of the many things that stand out was the food, we experienced the most delicious entree you can image prepared by chef Carlos Cabrera. We know his name because we felt we need to meet the person behind the spectacular dishes we were being served. The only other comment we can offer is that the management is doing a great job keep up the good work and we'll see you again in September.
“Highly Recommended”
I enjoyed everything but am alittle curious as to why they would make the Reserve kid friendly? It is more secluded, private, romantic, with an adult decor and more expensive than the Paradisus. Why wouldn't they make the Paradisus Palma Real Resort the kid friendly section, and the Reserve Adults Only? My husband and i went to the Reserve for a relaxing vacation for the 2nd time at the Reserve and was dissappointed to find children running rampid out of control all over the place! I doubt that we will return to the Reserve only for that reason only! Very dissappointed because we love everything else about the Reserve and were going to bring 6 other couples with us next year but they will feel the same way with the noisey children all over the place. And please don't get me wrong I love children, just not when vacationing.
“Wonderful, best ever all inclusive vacation!”
The place is spotless, very clean and well maintained. The staff is very accomodating. Whatever we needed, we got it. The language barrier was not a barrier at all. We don't speak Spanish but it was no problem at all. The food was wonderful. Drinks are great. We stayed at the Reserve and loved it. Very modern. We went in beginning October and the place was not crowded at all, they told us 20% occupancy at the time. We still managed to make friends everywhere we went. But if you are looking for solitude, you got it, no one will bother you if you don't want to be bothered. Beach is great. If you are staying at Reserve, I suggest taking the shuttle. It's too humid to walk down there. Don't let the idea of shuttle stop you from staying at Reserve. Shuttles are readily available at all times of day and night and it takes minutes to get you to the beach or main buidling. Night life was a little boring and cheezy but we expected that. Lots of water activities are included in your package and there are even more available at extra cost. Concierge was available but we didn't find much use for him. He made a few reservations for us, that was about it. There was a sales pitch that they try to get you to sit through on your first day but we declined and didn't get hassled about it at all. Beautiful and relaxing place. We would absolutely go back there and have recommended it to all of our friends. It was wonderful and totally relaxing.
