Relaxing blissPosted 12/11/2013
Pros: The pool and great service
Cons: Choice of salads on buffet.
Location: Surf club beach was just around corner. Markets on the Sunday are a must....great to stock up on souvenirs ie. locally made
From the moment we stepped off the shuttle bus we were amazed. The gardener came to our aid and helped us with bags etc. The front desk were very helpful. The restaurant crew were very obliging and nothing was a bother. Kathy at the Day Spa gave us fabulous facials and left us feeling like we truly were on holiday. If you want a relaxing break I would highly recommend the Peppers Beach Club...from the gardener to the restaurant....you really got what you paid for.....coming back...you bet!

Nice place to stay!Posted 26/08/2013
Pros: Sandy "beach" by the pool. Convenient location. Friendly staff.
Cons: Housekeeping. Breakfast selection and quality of the ingredients (fresh juices, etc)
We stayed in Peppers for a week and the hotel is very nice. Very child friendly (although we travelled without the kids). It's quite small and not too crowded. The pool has a sandy beach and that makes you feel like you're on the real beach! Definitely a WOW factor! . Location is convenient too! Our room was nice and overlooking the pool. We would prefer it to be a little bit more private, but not all of the rooms can be on upper levels. The staff was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them!!! They were all very nice and helpful. Continental breakfast was ok, but nothing too fancy. I would expect a little bit more from the 5 star hotel, e.g better bread and fruit variety (especially that we're talking about QLD where strawberries and bananas were super cheap in the supermarkets) and quality of juices (I would expect fresh fruit juices in 5 star hotel). The only let down was housekeeping that would always leave empty shampoo and shower gel bottles in the shower (although we were purposely leaving them on the floor) and also on the last day, the hotel ran out of both shower gel and shampoo and there were no replacements. When we asked for it at reception after returning from the beach, we were told that they ran out of and offered soap bars, but no shampoo. We would have appreciated someone buying stuff from local Coles and providing to the guest as this is what should happen in 5 star resort. Anyway the whole stay was good and we would return to this hotel!

Needs an updatePosted 07/08/2013
Cons: Fitout and room size
This hotel is in need of an update. It is very well positioned and has potential. It's best is long gone. Some of the fittings need replacing. The room was ok but small.

Slice of paradisePosted 31/03/2013
Pros: Soooooo Relaxing and beautiful
Cons: The alarm had been set for very early and kept going off!!! It was like a nightmare lol
Location: Perfect. Stayed at other lovely resorts in Port but too far from the main drag.great to be a local and feel like I was on holiday!!
Originally from Sydney I moved to the Northern beaches of Cairns so I could have the thrill of a 5 star tropical paradise get away every days off if I wanted. Great to spend my Birthday with family and friends at Peppers, lying by the lagoon, cocktails, great food and a luxury high standard penthouse accommodation. My kind of place!!!

Rooms overlooking the central swimming lagoon are higher priced but worth the premium. Food quality good if a little pricey for dinner.

Perfect for EveryonePosted 17/09/2012
Pros: The lagoon pool was spectacular, our spa on the balcony was not too shabby either!
Location: Perfectly located close to town centre
One of the most relaxing and beautiful places I have stayed. The pool was to die for, a great place for a romantic couples getaway, or a family trip!

Good Location, small damp roomsPosted 27/08/2012 on Hotels.com
First the positives. The location is great for the town and beach and with the very quiet roads it's easy to get around. The pool area, lobby and restaurant are nice but let's be clear this is a not a 5 star hotel that anyone from the US would recognize. It is probably a 3 star venue at best but given its apartment block tag its gets away with calling itself 5 star. The rooms are by far the biggest drawback. Our room was very small, damp and had a very musty smell. I know we were in the tropics but surely decent vents in the bathroom and a ddehumidifier would be a given. We had neither! When we requested a dehumidifier we received one that looked 25 years old. The bed was uncomfortable twins poorly pushed together with sheets bleached so many times they were like sandpaper. The rooms were averagely cleaned at best, making our room a pretty unpleasant place to be. Sad really, because better rooms and this could be a nice hotel.
