“Good hotel in good location”
close to main train station and CBD shops comfortable hotel with good size rooms would recommend for people to stay here
“In the centre of everything”
Area may be a bit run down, but certainly close to all public transport and the free Cat buses. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The only fault I found was that there were no blackout cutains on the balcony or windows. there was in the bedroom, but you couls not close the door as the bed was in the way. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who dosn't have a car.
“Would go back”
The hotel itself was good. Our apartment was very clean and modern. It overlooked the nextdoor rooftop which was full of empty bottles and rubbish. The location is very central, but there is a XXX peep show and adult shop next door. Parking was a nightmare. They closed the carpark entrance for maintenance and we had to drive around for half an hour before it reopened.
“GREAT Service at the Front Desk.... Pity About Everything Else.”
This central Perth apartment hotel is certainly well located for exploring the city! The staff were quite friendly and professional when we checked in, and the room was definately clean.... but everything good about this hotel ended there. We only stayed the one night and used the room to get changed for a romantic dinner. We couldn't get to the hotel until around 6:30pm so we quickly changed and had a glass of wine on the balcony before going out..... We were placed on the side of the hotel that overlooked the neighbouring Western Power building carpark, and had a fine view..... into the portable toilets there. The big rubbish bins were also nice to look at and I certainly admired the way the cars were parked! The hotel layout also meant we were in full view of many, many other rooms too. On returning to the hotel after dinner, around midnight, we found that although we had ordered a KING bed, we actually had two SINGLES that had been pushed together. This we discovered when we went to bed. One could argue that we should have complained there and then, BUT I find it inexcuseable that we should even be in that position in the first place. I felt cheated and this hotel chain needs to realise the 'little people's' money is just the same as the 'important people's' cash. If you go there, I would advise that you check ALL arrangements CAREFULLY as soon as you check in. You shouldn't have to, but in this case I advise that you do.....
“Right in the heart of Perth”
The Medina in Barrack street is situated just around the corner from the shopping malls and near the station. It is a short walk for a ferry ride down the Swan River to Fremantle. Our two bedroom apartment was very comfortable with two king beds, the airconditioning excellent and it was great to be able to make our own breakfast, althought there are also lots of cafes available in the mall. There is also a supermaket close by where we bought supplies and stocked the good sized fridge. Service was efficient.
“very convenient 4 star appartment hotel”
location was fabulous --next to Perth station and Woolworths mall but sleazy area. Our room (4) on first floor was good but our friends on higher level (5) and more expensive room had living area with small window to blank wall and poor light --otherwise facilities wer similar --noted very varied size shape and lighting and view of rooms Reeption was pleasant but not knowledgeable. Small gym, sauna and lap pool with seating, restaurant attached was really a bar Expedia rate was excellent value for big double unit with full size kitchen well equipped and 2 TVs (-Median Grand had similar accommodation and all rooms had big windows to balonies but location was not near food outlets or main station (though above bus station which made some rooms noisy) and metro )
“Location Location”
Myself and wife chose this hotel for a two night weekend getaway for it's location and the fact it looked modern and new. We were not disapointed at all, it's location to shops, restaurants, the River and transport is ideal and the hotel presented very well, looking bright and clean. the onsight bar and restaurant is conviently downstairs which attracts a noisy but happy crowd. Our very sizeable studio room had a balcony that looked out over Barracks street with a small table and two chairs for us to relax in and watch the busy streets below. The room itself was large with a fridge, sink and microwave, lounge chair and coffee table, huge bed and LCD TV with a good sized bathroom. It was clean and well maintained. It might cost $25 per night to park your car but to me it was worth the peace of mind knowing our brand new set of wheels was locked behind two big electric gates. It's a fantastic hotel and would happily recommend to anyone.
“Great location !!”
Enjoyed our stay at Medina Executive Barrack Plaza nicely presented 1 B/Roon appartment. Great location for a City Stay. Close to Malls, shopping., restraunts & transport.
“Would most likely look elsewhere...”
The establishment doesn't have a restaurant itself, instead it has some agreement with the bar downstairs who provides the room service - as my flight was late arriving into Perth, I entered the hotel at approx. 9:30pm and asked whether I could order some room service for dinner. It is only available up until 8pm! Breakfast is not ordered the night before, rather you must call the bar in the morning and wait until they arrive. Not only that, but it is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced - $10.90 for banana and walnut toast? $17 or so for a bacon and egg roll?! And they took 40mins to deliver my toast...turns out they 'wrote down the wrong room number'. I asked whether there were any restaurants nearby the night I arrived to which the response was 'There is a kebab shop down the road (next to the 24 hr Adult shop!), McDonalds, Hungry Jacks and Dominos Pizza'. However, the room was clean with plenty of room. Although, I am a sucker for the bathroom goodies and unfortunately there were no shower caps or sewing kits for me to take away :-(
“Good value”
The apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable. Not the best part of the CBD but very good position as it was close to everything.

Museums, galleries, shopping malls, and pedestrian precincts characterise the CBD, while parkland wanders along the riverfront. The downtown area also encompasses East Perth, a former industrial zone now converted to residential streets, and Northbridge, a restaurant and nightlife hotspot that is also home to Perth's Cultural Centre.
