“Don't stay here”

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and it's only 10 mins from the ferry, but I'm afraid that's where we stopped enjoying this hotel. Big fences surround the parking lot, with big signs telling you not to leave valuables in car, not very assuring. The bedroom didn't smell very nice and seriously needed refurbished, as did the corridors and stairs. The breakfast was decent enough but the bar prices were extortionate. To be honest, I don't think we would ever stay in Calais again, as there really isn't much to do, no decent places to eat, it was quite like a ghost town. Best to pass through. If you must stay, like we did, I would avoid this hotel.
