“Access difficult during roadworks”

Perfectly adequate for a short stop, just as you would probably imagine from the chain. TV has BBC1, BBC2 and BBCworld. If staying more than 24 hours, you have to ask at reception for a new login for the wifi every day if you want to use it, which is a bit of a nuisance. Breakfast is an extra 8 euro, which isn't much, but it's barely worth it. Our room was at the front & even on the 4th floor noisy with the window open, but when closed double glazing made it quiet and we had a nice view over the river. Definitiely park on the river bank on the other side of the road as it's perfectly safe, rather than pay for the car park (as long as you're not a terrible parker - it's a vertical plunge into the river if you go too far!) Others park continually on grass verge and pavements with no come back. At time of stay (July 2011) road was blocked directly outside the hotel which made it difficult to access! It's on a sort of dual carriageway and the nearside carriageway is blocked and the far carriageway accommodating both directions. I finally figured out temporary (yellow) road markings co-exist with contradictory permanent white markings, leading to confusion whether you're going the wrong way. I would suggest staying on the main road to the river then following the road straight in along the river; then it's fine. If you come in from town you have (like everyone else) to ignore the temporary sign which says no access except for buses and loading to get onto the right road.
