“Exceeded Expectations - Comfortable & Great Location”

We had planned to stay at another much more expensive hotel in Versailles until I saw some updated photos of the rooms in the Mercure. This hotel was excellent. As most European hotel rooms, the bedroom was small, however the linens and bathroom were great. The service was wonderful and the included breakfast was fantastic. Save yourself a couple hundred Euros and stay here - the location is perfect as well.

“Watch out for the ramp in middle of room”

I would go back to this hotel but with lower expectations. Our room was part of the connection of two buildings and had a ramp in the room that you did not see until your luggage took off down the slope. Very inconvenient for thoses of us that get up in the middle of the night. Neighbourhood is delightful though and walking to sights is easy

Getting there

We took the train from Charles De Galle, make sure you have your connection correct or you will be hauling luggage up and down long staircases. Taxi at Versailles train station instructed us to walk to hotel as it was only five blocks away. Turns out it was more than that.

“good reasonable hotel”

Nice hotel with helpful staff, ideally located for us. But it is a work in progess.
