“Very impressed with this charming Parisian Hotel.”

The Hotel Montalembert is charming boutique hotel in a very classy area of Paris. It is in easy walking distance of many of the main attractions and the newly completed Mono Prix opposite is perfect for stocking up on affordable wine, cheese, bread and pastries for delectable lunches by the river or in the many nearby parks and gardens. The staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. The two elevators are not very practical but are so quaint. The spiral staircase is a better bet if you are on the lower floors. We had a superior room on the 5th floor at the rear of the hotel backing onto a quiet courtyard and the bell tower of the nearby church. The room was very clean with a small safe, a well stocked fridge, a LCD TV and a reasonably sized bathroom. The bed was good and firm and very comfortable. After experiencing many large multi-national hotel chains on business and vacation it was such a pleasant change to come to a hotel where the service and the atmosphere was both personal and friendly. We would definitely stay at the Hotel Montalembert again.

“Lovely hotel, but eat elsewhere”

The Montalembert was ideally located just off Boulevard Saint Germain, close to some great shops, bars and right next door to L'Atelier de Joel Robouchon. Reception staff and concierges were very friendly and helpful, restaurant staff less friendly but still attentive. Price wise, we got a good deal on the room with a 15% early booking discount, although the standard rooms are very small. Lunch/ Dinner menu was ok, not a fantastic selection and quite expensive but what we had we enjoyed. Breakfast (not included in room price) also very expensive for what it was. All in all I would stay here again, especially with the early booking discount, but I would eat elsewhere.

“Lovely second stay at Montelambert!”

We returned to Montelambert following our first visit last year and it didn't disappoint! We opted for a Deluxe room via Expedia and got a reasonable rate. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious and offer free wifi. The staff are friendly and helpful and not too intrusive. The rooms are well equipped with big bathrobes, slippers, free wifi, L'Occitane toiletries and bottled water in the evening at turndown. The only small issue we had was that the mini bar self locked itself, so we had to call up reception to get them to open it but they were very quick to respond. Rooms do not have irons but housekeeping again were able to do this for you with no charge. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

“Overall”

The room was a bit small, but the service was excellent. Who stays in the room anyway? After a day of walking around vigorously, you sleep well.

“Loved every second of our stay”

While the room is small (as I believe is to be expected in all Parisian accommodation) the hotel is clean, extremely comfortable, the service exceptional and the location excellent. The evening turn-down with complimentary brownies and on on occasion even a fried cheese delicacy when we requested a bucket of ice! We were very sad to leave after a 6 night stay and would absolutely stay in this hotel again.

“paris perfect”

montalembert justifiably famous! neighborhood beyond perfect. door locks tricky and a pain. rooms super tiny but typical size for hotel du charme. only real criticism was zero water pressure and at times barely any water at all! also, scary news: seems a monoprix is going in right across the street! beware noisy construction on that project if you choose a (nicer view) front facing room.
