“Great location!! Excellent boutique hotel”

The hotel lumen is about as prime of a location as it gets!! Beautiful decor, Hermes bath products and even an American outlet in case you forgot an adapter. The free wifi and breakfast sealed the deal. I'll be back!!

“love the decor & location!”

This is truly the best choice we made for our honeymoon trip. It's conveniently located near Louvre, Opera, Lafayette, subway lines, bus lines, River Seine. We knew most Paris hotels are tiny but this one is small but not ridiculous. The interior is really modern and also retro. Staffs are very polite and helpful and always around 24/7. The reservation included breakfast buffet daily - not bad!

“Great location but tiny room”

You can't beat the location - 2 blocks from the Louvre and Tulleries; 4 blocks from the old Opera. Great for walking to all the sights. Plenty of cafes to choose from. Downside is it is a boutique hotel so there is nothing to do here - no nightlife, swimming, work out. We asked for a double bed and it was actually a king which was very nice. That was all that fit in the room though. We have a nice TV, "desk" which was really a hall table and chair but you couldn't sit in the chair if you had the luggage rack out. No drawers except two small ones in the small closet. Bathroom was very small with no vanity so it was difficult to get ready in. Beautiful church behind the hotel that has excellent art work - not mentioned in any books that we had.

Area recommendations
Stay in area's 1 or 2. Great for walking to all the sights and pretty safe.
Getting around
None of the taxi drivers knew where our hotel was so it would be helpful to write done the address and even have a map. We tried to guide the drivers once we learned the area but the taxi could cost double for the same ride if they wouldn't listen to my directions.

“VERY NICE HOTEL!!!”

The hotel is in very good conditions, the room has a modern design it is very nice, the size of the room is a little bit small but I would say it is ok, the bathroom is excellent, the location is exellent, one block from louvre museum, the atention is excellent, the only thing I didnt like is the tv channels they are only in french and just a few channels in english but only news channels, for the price they shulod have cable television y several languages. But in general it is a very good hotel.

“Great hotel! Perfect location! Great value!”

This hotel is a gem! The location is perfect, and within walking distance of most of the major museums and landmarks. Also, considering it's location, condition, and amenities, it was a very good value for a Paris hotel. It was literally two blocks from the Louvre, and the surrounding shopping and restaurants were great. The neighborhood was just far enough away from all of the other major monuments and the Champs Elysses to be safe. There are a lot of pickpockets and "sheisters" in some of the other neighborhoods closeby that prey on unsuspecting tourists. Our room was an Executive room. It was very modernly decorated, and large with a king sized bed that was very soft and comfortable with the best pillows I have ever slept on in a hotel. it also had separate climate control with a thermostat, which was great! The weather was cold at night when we were there, but our room was always comfortable. The bathroom was large and all marble. Beautiful modern fixtures, also. What I did not understand was that the shower had only a hand-spray shower head. No overhead or wall mounted sprayer. Seemed odd for an "Executive" room. The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful, and fluent in English. They helped us every day to find our way around, and were quick to respond to any request we had for anything we needed. Certainly, the service was "Executive"! I would most definitely return to this hotel!

Area recommendations
I would recommend this neighborhood because it seemed safe. Just far enough away from the crowded spots. Some of the other places adjacent to monuments and museums seemed very unsafe, even during the day, because of all of the pickpockets and the homeless people on the streets. We had to be very careful around the monuments and along the Champs-Elysses. We stayed away from those areas at night. We were approached multiple times by "sheisters" working in pairs or groups, and were "hit on" by two pickpockets in only 3 days! Thankfully, we were smart and defensive, and we knew enough about their "game" that we did not lose anything. The city is not safe in those areas even during the daytime. Tourists are obviously strongly targeted and preyed upon, and the police and other local authorities do nothing about it. In the most crowded and most threatening areas of the city was where we saw the fewest police. I'm not sure that we will go back to Paris anytime in the future because we felt so intimidated and unsafe in so many places!
Other
Make sure to be very careful in Paris around the Museums and Monuments, and places like the Champs-Elysses, as there are many pickpockets and "sheisters" that work singly or in pairs or groups. This city is one of the worst for those sorts of activities. Protect your belongings. Anything that may be easily grabbed and ran away with should be placed in a zipped pocket, money belt or shoulder bag with a strap that goes across your body. Cameras, rings, watches, wallets, purses, backpacks, and the likes are easy targets. (don't wear your expensive jewelry or watch!!) Be sure to tell anyone who approaches you saying it's your "lucky day" or someone who is trying to act like they want to give you something (like a fake gold ring they supposedly just "found" on the ground in front of you or behind you) to stay away, get away from you, or just face them and sternly say "NO" until they go away. Another "ploy" is to get a young girl with a "starving baby" or a crippled old woman to approach you to ask for money. When you take out your wallet, another person will grab it and run! And....try hard not to look too much like a tourist and wave too many Euros around! You will be drawing them towards you!

“A wonderful place to call home while in Paris!”

The hotel staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room was not ready when I first arrived, but there was no problem with storing my luggage until I returned from sight seeing. The room was small according to american standards, but was very classy and had everything I needed. When I reported a problem, it was taken care of immediately and without complaint. The bathroom was very clean, had great water pressure in the shower, and always had hot water. It was walking distance from many cafes, the metro all the major landmarks. Overall a wonderful place to call home while in Paris!

Getting around
-metro is convenient and cost effective - buy a book of tickets for more savings -a unique way to travel is by Batobus - a taxi-bus which you can get on & off at many major landmarks along the Seine
What to pack
warm clothes (quite windy) and an umbrella
Must see
Montparnasse Cemetery
Family-friendly activities
Discover Walks has 3 free walking tours (expect for tips), has great tour guides, and was a nice introduction to Paris.

Location of the hotel was great. However the room was too small, and a lot of stuffs in the room were broken and need to be repaired.

“Great location”

Very modern hotel in a great location. Obviously close to the Louvre, shops, Cityrama tours and all hop on hop off bus stops. 5 minute walk to the Auber train station. Very helpful employees.

Area recommendations
The Louvre as it only cost us 9,50 EUR and was only a 5 minute walk down the street.
Shopping
Around the hotel there are plenty of shops. Including Souvenirs and designer.
