“Highly recommended”
The most remarkable feature is the original, modern design. It is a small hotel, quiet, clean, well located and the service is friendly and efficient. The rooms are fairly small, but comfortable. A good breakfast is provided, but there is no restaurant. There are numerous restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
“Small rooms but nice layout”
The staff was very friendly which always makes a nice stay for me. The room was pretty small but well laid out to make the most efficient use of the space. If you need a room to hangout in, this would probably not be the best. But I was always out and just in the room for sleeping. The bed was very comfortable for that!
“Zen experience”
Stayed 3 nights. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. Would go back there anytime. Excellent location in 11° arrondissement. Very close to rue Oberkampf and its groovy bars and cafés. You can stroll down to Le Marais and then push to Les Halles, etc... (about a 40mn stroll) Pretty cool rooms. Beautifully designed. All whites and soft lighting. Got upgraded to an executive one on arrival. Very quiet rooms, practically soundproof. Groovy bathroom. Best shower, toileries products (environmentally conscious, no parabens, etc.) Nice staff. Breakfast is all organic. Would maybe suggest to expand the variety of fruits offered for breakfast (I had an organic kiwi fruit and an orange). But basically, a most enjoyable experience.
“Nice Hotel”
Great hotel
“Great hotel”
We had a great stay at the hotel. It's not actually located in the heart of the Marais but a) it's priced accordingly. b) has great access to public transit and c) is a 15 minute walk from the heart of the Marais. Oh, and the hotel staff was extremely nice/helpful and the bed couldn't have been comfier.
“A Gem at the heart of Paris”
It is tough to find a reasonably priced, clean and convenient hotel in Paris in the high season. Just off Marais, a few blocs from the metro, this hotel is the place to be. Friendly staff, clean and minimalist rooms. Can't wait to go back.
“Very modern hotel”
My wife and I stayed at Hotel Gabriel for four nights in April 2011. This hotel must have been recently remodeled and it is very pleasant. This is our second visit to Paris in the past three years, and this hotel is on the upper-end of what we seen for the price range. We had a double room and its size is about average for Paris hotels. Our windows faces the interior courtyard so it is very quite. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff kept the room in good clean condition. I will certainly consider staying at this hotel the next time we are in Paris.
“Great hotel choice”
We went to Paris to visit our daughter who is spending a semester studying abroad. For us this hotel was an ideal location. It was a 5 minute walk to her apartment and a 5 minute walk to Place de la Republique (a metro hub). We were able to easily get to all the sites we wanted to see using the easy, efficient Metro and RER. The hotel rooms (we had 2....had to change due to availability when we booked) were small but clean, comfortable, good beds, and lots of storage space. Staff was friendly, helpful and all spoke English. Only possible criticism is the showers. Our first room had a tub with very slippery bottom and second room had shower also with slippery floor and no way to close (half a door!). So hard to shower without making a flood. Aside from that, would most definitely stay here again.
“Can't wait to go back”
This was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the beauty and richness that Paris has to offer.
“Small, luxurious gem in Paris”
This was a terrific hotel. It was within close walking distance of two different metro stops. Staff was extremely helpful with all of my questions. Rooms were small, but that has been typical with all of the European hotels I have stayed in. The rooms were incredibly clean and very comfortable.
