“Great Location!!”
Great Location!! Very comfortable! Very helpful staff!
“Frequent traveler”
Bourgogne Et Montana Hotel was a lovely, small hotel in a great location just a few blocks from two different Metro lines. It's walking distance to the Louvre, Musee Orsi, Nortre Dame, Eiffel Tower and more. The hotel staff was AMAZING, with great suggestions for activities, restaurants and routes. I would definitely stay here again if I'm lucky enough to return to Paris!!
“Ahhhh Paris...”
This hotel rocks - it is in a great location and you can walk to everything, or a metro is aruond the corner if the blisters get the better of you! The staff are great and have good English but are very happy to help you improve your french if you like, as I did. The room was fabulous - comfortable bed, lovely airconditioning for a few very hot (37 degree plus) days, clean and well equipped with a great bathroom with lovely water pressure in the shower and al the mod cons. The street is lovely, there is everything close by and a great bistro around the corner for dinner. The staff made you feel very welcome and were happy to assist with recommendations for places to go, make bookings for shows etc and also provide you with some off-the beaten track ideas of places to go to avoid the usual tourist haunts. I'll definitely be back!
“On the 50 yard line!”
Excellent location - 1/4 mile to the Seine - d'Orsay, Louvre, Invalides are very easy walks. 2 Metro stations close by. Hotel room (a standard) was fine, especially by Paris standards - breakfast was great - staff was extremely helpful.
“Quiet Location”
I enjoyed this hotel. The staff was very friendly and greeted us with coffee upon our arrival at 9 AM off a flight from the USA. The room was quiet and relatively large for a Paris hotel. The neighborhood was convenient to several Metro stops permitting rapid travel to various parts of the city. My only complaint was the windows looked into the bottom level of a central window well. There was little natural light in the room and thus it was hard to get the USA set body clock to switch to European time. I would stay here again.
“Convenient, Comfortable, Civilized”
The hotel is in a perfect location for setting off in any direction to see the sites of Paris. Staff were extremely helpful and yes, they all spoke perfect English. There are great restaurants and shops in the area, including a boulangerie for coffee and croissants in the morning. The room was small, like most french hotels, and very comfortable and clean and quiet - the window opened onto a small interior courtyard. Breakfast, at 18 euros/person, was a bit pricey but convenient if you don't feel like venturing out that early to find food. And it was an all-you-can-eat spread that included american as well as french breakfast foods. It was more expensive than we generally pay for hotels, but it was good value, as the french say.
“hotel”
the rooms are small, the hotel desk is pretty helpful. there is a computer for online use, but only one. location out of the way, but fine for the active tourist... restaurants are easily walkable, but not right there.
“Most Convenient Location”
Although in a quiet neighborhood, this hotel has the most convenient location for access to the major attractions of Paris. Musee d'Orsay, Invalides, Place de la Concorde and Metro within blocks, the Louvre and Eiffel also walkable. RER train to Versaille also 2 blocks. Room size not large, but ok, and comfortable. Bathroom very nice. Breakfast downstairs off lobby is fine, but Cafe outside on corner also worth a stop for any meal.
“Wonderful Hotel Centrally Located.”
The Bourgogne Et Montana is a wonderful estabishment. It is in the heart of Paris, in the 7th District. The National Assembly is right across the street and the Seine River is just 1 block away. Whether you want to take Metro (just 2 blocks away) or walk the streets of Paris (we felt very safe everywhere we went), the hotel is convenient to all the tourist attractions. We chose to walk and had a wonderful time. The hotel was nicely appointed, rooms were comfortable and actually more spacious than I had anticipated. They have a breakfast buffet, however we chose to walk to the local cafe's for breakfast (a little easier on the wallet). My only negative comment was the elevator was very small, I mean really small!!! One person and a piece of medium sized luggage max or two people very close to one and other! Something that has been there for a long time. The spiral staircase was an option, but if you are on the upper floors, can give you a nice work out. It wasjust another Paris adventure...!
“Nice Hotel”
I picked this hotel for the location, as I had stayed in this area on a previous trip to Paris. It was lovely. The room as well maintained, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Who cares about the small elevator! It's not like you're staying in it! Plus, it's very common in the older buildings in Paris. The neighborhood had it's pluses and minuses. On the plus side, it was very quiet. Our room window faced the street but we heard nothing at night. The metro was close, and you could walk to Place de la Concorde or even the Eiffel Tower in 15 minutes or so. However, we found it hard to find places to eat right near the hotel. Turns out there were some near by, we'd been walking in the wrong direction (not the busiest part of St. Germain). Oh, and there was a lovely patisserie right across the street, good for snacks. Still, for the money we couldn't complain!
