"Family stay in an authentic apartment"
This was brilliant accomodation for my family of two adults and our (adult - aged 20) son. We stayed in a first floor flat just around the corner from the main locanda building. It had everything we needed, modern facilities (including the best wifi connection we experienced in the whole of sicily). The staff were unfailingly helpful and pleasant. They arranged parking for our car (10 euros per day) which was excellent. We just handed over our keys and the car was taken off and delivered back exactly when we wanted. Breakfast was taken in the main cafe overlooking the 'where it all happens' piazza. We could hardly tear ourselves away from the daily spectacle of local people going about their business and the tourists piling into the wonderful cathedral.

"Charming old world style hotel."
A very pleasant and courteous reception. We were quickly transferred to a twin room which had been agreed on their very nice web site from the double room were were taken too initially.. The reception staff were always cheerful and obliging and always went out of their way to help. The room was very cool, clean and very comfortable in every way although it showed a few signs of needing some refreshing. The bathroom was perfect with an excellent bath, bidet, and separate shower with plenty of luxurious towels. The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful by any standard but were completely outstanding for Italy. There was always wonderful fresh fruit, as well and a full cooked breakfast or cold meats and cheeses to choose from. There was a good variety of bread, cakes biscuits and croissants. You could also order excellent espresso or cappuccino coffee. The hotel was crammed with history and I found it charming and convenient in every possible way.

"Beautifully located hotel, good diving"
Had a really nice stay in a Deluxe Plus room with terrace. Views were stunning and was worth the extra money to upgrade. Overall the hotel was great although the fitness centre seemed to be a bit of an afterthought and the machines did not seem very well cared for. Some parts of the hotel were a bit tired which you would probably expect with a building of this age but this did not affect our enjoyment in any way. Very nice buffet breakfast - other food and drink in the hotel was pricey as you would suspect for a 5* hotel. However if you want you can walk down to the harbour which is just around the corner and eat very cheaply. We hired a car (from Hertz) which - after getting used to the rather 'unpredictable' driving in Palermo was a good call as it enabled us to see some great places outside of Palermo. The mountains in Madonie region were particulary stunning (there is even a ski resort there in winter..). Also went to the Mafia (AntiMafia) museum in Corleone which is well worth a visit. We wanted to do some scuba diving and used Diving Center Saracen in Palermo who were fanatastic. Their dive boat is based in the marina directly below the hotel so you just had to walk down a few steps and you were away. The centre is PADI 5* and is run by Laura (who speaks English) and Alberto (who doesn't but this matters little underwater) who are both lovely so if you want good diving without the hassle I would give them a go. In a nutshell would happily go a again.

"Lovely hotel, great location for port and Old Town"
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The room was lovely and had air conditioning which was great. The staff were friendly and helpful and great at answering any question you may have about trips, buses etc. Breakfast was lovely, as was the bar. Would definitely stay again if I planned another trip to Palermo, highly recommended.

"Lovely hotel, close to marina and old town."
This hotel was very comfortable for our two night stay at the end of a week in Sicily. Breakfast on the roof terrace was a great way to start the day. The staff gave us a warm welcome on arrival and were helpful throughout our stay. Room was spotless, bed very comfortable.
