"This was our first time staying at the Marshal House. We were able to check in early and park in the public garage behind the hotel. Very convenient and cheaper than the valet parking. They offered free water, coffee and tea all day. They provided a wine and cheese happy hour everyday between 5 and 6:30 with entertainment. Breakfast each morning. Great location for walking everywhere. Very historic building and very welcoming! "

"OH MY GOODNESS! EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! SPECTACULAR! The yard and home are beautiful. I received a very warm welcome from Chemise. She served delicious breakfasts in the dining room every morning and was always available if I needed anything. Outside there are garden areas with chairs and tables. It was wonderful to sit and relax while hearing their water fountains. Amethyst Garden Inn is in a great neighborhood. Easy to walk to restaurants, shops and tourist spots. The only comment I have was regarding the walls being pretty thin, you can hear doors slamming from across the hall and the bathroom sink makes a very loud noise when you run the water. Regardless, we had a wonderful 3 night experience here and would definitely stay again. "
