“Would Stay Again...For The Third Time!”
Just got back from Residence for the second time and I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! It's quiet with nearby shopping and has outlets for some of the major brands. You'll have to take a trip to nearby Elizabeth if you need groceries and that takes a while but it's trouble free. Mind you, if you take advantage of the free continental breakfasts it will make a massive difference to your food bill and thus the overall cost of your trip! The transport into New York is also trouble free although the fares on the New Jersey Transit doubled from last year which isn't nice. The prices aren't too bad though it has to be said. If there is a caveat I must mention that I'm at middle age now. Whether there's enough at Residence for the younger set I'm not so sure. I suspect not. They may have to go back into the city at night to have fun. There is nothing, and I mean nothing, that can (or will) prepare you for the enormity that is New York. Residence is perfect for winding down after a long day. Did I mention a swimming pool and jacuzzi? I can't wait to go back. Enjoy.
“Exceeded expectations”
We stayed at this hotel as a stopping point on our way to New England. I expected the hotel to be "decent" since it was a Marriott, but it far exceeded my expectations. The furnishings in the room were stylish and comfortable. But the breakfast was the real WOW in our stay. Not only was it beyond a typical continental breakfast, it was thoughtfully laid out. For example, honey was available next to the tea service. Salsa, ketchup, sour cream, etc. were available next to the eggs and home fries. Trays were available if you wanted to take the food to your room to eat at the table there. The only drawback was the noise from the planes at Newark Airport, but this is to be expected when the hotel is located so close.

“Would visit again!!”
So finding the Hotel was horrible if youre traveling by bus!!! New Jersey has no sidewalks especially in the winter its hard to walk it. Best bus to take is the 115 leaves you the closest.....Well enough with that I surprised my boyfriend in this hotel for Valentines day. The look on his face was priceless we both loved it! We had the Suite which is very nice and clean for its price!! Breakfast was delicious! Didn't get in the pool because their were too many Kids!!! But overall I loved it the Suite itself made up for the experience!!!
“Great Hotel Value”
What a great hotel and value! Would definitely stay there again. Rooms were very good size and included kitchen. The hotel also had a terrific breakfast (no-charge) and shuttle bus to the airport and outlet center.
“We always stay here when visiting New York area”
This hotel consistently provides clean, comfortable rooms. Staff is always polite and helpful. Complimentary breakfast is always good. Location is convenient to New York and northern New Jersey by car. We did not use the airport shuttle.
“Would definetly stay again”
Out of all the hotels that I had looked at thru expedia.com, I chose this one. It wasn't the one with the best price, but compared to other hotels, their prices were competitive. The service given from the front desk was excellent. Friendly employees at all times. Willing to help us to get to places. Not to mention the complimentary breakfast which was EXCELLENT!. We weren't able to enjoy the complimentary dinner but i'm sure it was good also. The maintenance was very good, if not excellent, in the rooms, lobby and even outside. My family and I are very pleased and we would definetly stay there again.

Front desk very helpful in area travel options and the complimentary breakfast and social meals were very good.
