“wonderful hotel”

This hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff cannot do enough for you. We were upgraded to a king room,I think because it faced on to the road and other people had complained about the noise. However we found that the problem was that if we had the air-conditioning on we had to have the window open. We therefore left the air-conditioning on when we went out to eat and when we came back the room was nice and cold. We then switched it off and closed the window and slept with the room fan going. Despite temperatures in the 80s we were cool and slept well with the window closed. It was lovely to have a good breakfast every day and the wine and cheese and crackers in the evening were great. The position of the hotel is so central that we walked to most places or took the subway and walked back.

“Quiet Retreat in the Centre of NYC”

Staff were friendly yet professional. They had allocated the incorrect room on the first night (small error) but made the move to another room as pain free as possible. Rooms are small side but very comfortable. Would recommend suite if you prefer more space and a bit more quiet at night. Hotel is really lovely and well kept. Definately re-visitng this one. Restuarants are fab. Bonus is it;s right on the door step of Times Square.

“Casablanca Hotel, New York”

We stayed in this hotel in April 2007. It was a really lovely hotel right bang in the middle of Times Square. The staff were really friendly and more than happy to help. The buffet style breakfast and the free afternoon "wine and cheese reception" where brilliant. Our room was spacious and extremely clean with air con, TV and mini bar. All and all, a fantastic place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone. The only downside to our stay (which isn't major) was the fact that we had a room overlooking the outside terrace, which was just situated off "Rick's Cafe", the main communal area in the hotel. This outside terrace is open 24 hours a day for people to sit outside, and is the only smoking section in the hotel now New York has gone smoke free. Unfortunately, one of the four nights we stayed there we were kept awake in the wee small hours by people sitting out on the terrace smoking and talking very loudly. The Air Con unit built into our window meant that the smell of the smoke was drawn into the room, along with the noise of the talking. However, this only happened once and it wasn't a major flaw, i would just recommend when you are checking into the hotel or when you are booking the room, that you request that you don't want a room overlooking the terrace.

“what a top hotel!”

We've just returned from a trip to New York, staying at the Casablanca Hotel. This hotel is fantastic, its really well situated, handy for Times Sq, Broadway and the subway. The staff were really helpful and the breakfast and wine that were provided were tops. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Highly recommended. Efficient, friendly service from the front desk/concierge staff. Even found me the England cricket score and put it under the door!

“An Oasis in the Big City.”

We stayed here for 4 nights in July '07 and couldn't fault this hotel. Its a peaceful quaint contrast to the hussle and bussle of New York yet is ideally situated right on Times Square. The staff were always polite and very helpful with directions or maps never too much trouble to supply. The free buffet breakfast was a great start to the day, and you could also get hot drinks to go and the afternoon's free supply of wine/champagne and cheese/biscuits a great idea. Would certainly go back here in the future. A+

“Impressive boutique hotel”

right in the heart of Manhatten with all the main sightseeing attractions so easy to get around either by subway or just walking. Definitely would stay at this hotel again, as voted one of the top 5 hotels in Manhatten and I was lucky to get an availability in May as it is usually full between May and September.
