“Jewel found in The Big Easy”

What a wonderful surprise. Beautiful, historic and romantic. And the Sunday Champagne Brunch was delicious. The dining room was like stepping back into a favorite familiar old movie- right down to the characters in the mural on the wall.Easily accessible to the Casino, waterfront, French Market and Bourbon Street. Definitely a jewel to be found in your next excursion to The Big Easy!!

“Excellent Location”

The hotel is beautiful. It is in a very nice location downtown. It is clean and the staff is very friendly.The restaurant is not open yet do to the not having enough staff but there are plenty of places close to eat. Would stay here again every year.

“Ideal for New Orleans”

Super place to stay. Old-fashioned but with all modern facilities. 10 minutes safe walk from French Quarter, St.Charles Ave. tram route. 20 minutes to Miss. River front. Only downsides: much more expensive Thurs-Sat nights; and one of our two rooms had only frosted glass non-opening window.

I was fortunate to get a corner room... essentially a suite. With Expedia's pricing it was fantastic.

“Don't Pass Up This Hotel”

I was worried about staying in a "historic" hotel thinking that everything would be outdated and worn. Quite the opposite. We arrived and received our free room upgrade that expedia had on special, to a queen suite. Very nice room, seperate sleeping and living rooms; desk, 3 chairs, and a couch. The furnishings were very nice, the bathroom was huge and had all modern fixtures. When we checked in, the room had not been cleaned from the last guest but was quickly taken care of by the front desk. Also, they sent up several beverages, popcorn, snacks, and gave us a complimentary pay-movie to watch during our stay for the mishap. The hotel is very unique inside, the staff is very friendly and even gave us reccomendations on some local fav. restaurants. The hotel's restaurant has a great Sunday brunch, but they hotel does not offer room service. The location is two blocks from Canal Street and 5 blocks to the casino, aquarium, and Riverwalk mall. I would definitely stay here again and suggest others to do the same.
