“Great location, great services, great return for the money.”

Great location, the hotel offers different kinds of accommodations to suite different guest types and vacation/relaxation types. The staff is all professional and very accommodating, lovely to deal with. The rooms were very clean and very nice (I got to see two different kinds). At check-in the host offered an upgrade to the best suites available at half the price, simply because it was available. Spa services were easily booked right during check-in to a time of my choosing. The spa itself is extremely nice and the staff very accommodating and professional. Having the combination of the tapas restaurant to enjoy before, during and after the spa treatments and hot pools is a huge bonus, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy the entire day without any worries or distractions. This hotel is highly recommended - you will not be disappointed!

“A pleasant jewel on the water”

We needed to add one more night to our trip but our hotel in Victoria was sold out. This was intended to be just a place to sleep but WOW! I wish we could have spent the whole week here. We booked an Ocean view and what an ocean view. Staff was so friendly and rooms were spotless and cozy. Can't wait to go back.

“Favorite place on Vancouver island!!”

I have been in Calgary for almost 10 years now and am originally from Nanaimo. Tigh-na-mara has been my favorite resort since a child-hood band trip there in 1982. Every time I come back, it gets better. The staff were more than accomodating, upgraded my room for my last night of rest and relaxation after a wonderful massage in the Grotto spa. I go back every chance I get!

“Great holidays with kids.”

The hotel is great for family vacation in a self-served style. We could BBQ in front of our flat. The beach at the back of the resort was big and quiet. Kids had a lot of fun catching small fishies and crabies at shallow water on beach and returning them to ocean to save their lives. We went there in rainy May so felt chilly. The staffs there were very helpful. The location is convenient for short trips to other beaches. The only pity was we couldn't see sea lions closely.

“Finally a hotel resort in British Columbia!”

Tigh Na Mara was a great choice for our trip to the island. If you are into spas, check out the Grotto Spa as it is certainly quite a nice one! The hotel has a beach access. We were disappointed the night we went to check it out, but didn't know about the tides! The next day we were out there again, and the beach was simply HUGE! The hotel employees were all very friendly and it is very well maintained. Overall the stay (spa, hotel, dinner at the Cedar room) came out a little pricey, but if it's for a special occasion, it's well worth it!

“An Upscale Woodsy Experience”

Rustic, but highly comfortable is the experience of the Tigh Na Mara Resort and Spa. Surrounded by woods, yet easy to find from the main highway, this hotel provides an upscale and relaxing experience with a summer cottage ambience. The amenities in our Studio cabin included a king-sized bed, an eat-in kitchenette, a small patio area, access to a BBQ, a love-seat and two over-stuffed chairs for lounging in front of a gas fire-place or to watch the flat-screen TV and a spacious bathroom with a soaker tub and a separate shower. The Spa and Grotto, the beach area, the administrative building, gift shop and the restaurant were only a short stroll away. With available tennis courts and basketball hoops, an exercise area and conference centre, the Tigh Na Mara Resort seeks to accommodate a variety of patrons and hold themselves to a very high quality of service without the snobbery of exclusivity. We thoroughly enjoyed the pine-scented fresh air, the gourmet meals and I felt totally pampered and relaxed after a day at the spa. We will keep the Tigh Na Mara Resort and Spa in mind when we visit Parksville, BC again. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already shared our positive experience with our friends.
