OK if business in Schwabing but not for tourists
I would not have picked this location for our leisure trip but we were part of a group tour and this was our last hotel. It's in the business area. It is beside offices of Amazon, etc so if you're on a business trip, it's good. But as a tourist, it's far from transportation unless you take a Bolt / Uber. Trains are a good 12-15 minute walk. Buses stop about 300 meters away but it's not that often. Hotel itself is standard IBIS - clean, comfortable, reasonably priced.

Stayed here to go to Oktoberfest. Really liked the location. Parking fee is separate from the hotel fees and located in underground garage. Breakfast had good selection of food.

Overnight stop

No frills, but clean. The 10-minute walk to the U6 takes you to the center of the city easily. The area directly around the hotel is very quiet. Note about the garage: only smaller cars actually fit through the door.

I stayed at the hotel 5 years ago and had a good impression at that time. Unfortunately, the present stay changed this impression dramatically. The room was by all means not clean at all. The curtain was ripped, surfaces of tables, cupboards etc. we’re obviously not wiped. The TV and the antenna was were not disconnected, from their sockets, respectively and the dirty remote control was anywhere, but not at the place you could easily find it. The day after the I checked-in the cleaner even forgot the cleaning cloths in the room, which looked an DIY invitation to guest. Is this what you want to outsource to a business traveler? Though in times of COVID services are limited but essential hygiene and cleaning is a mandatory service to guarantee the wellbeing of guests. I missed that basic service in this hotel, I changed to ibis next door, which was a different world regarding cleanliness and services. The room at ibis next door included a hygiene wrap for the remote control et. provided for a safe and pleasant environment. Things your Hotel did not provide at all!

we had a great 4 day stay at this hotel and the staff was amazing. I made a great friend there and he was one of the staff members his name is Edin!. He was great and provided us with a wonderful customer service experience. In general the hotel is outside of tourist area but other than that it was really good including the breakfast

Well located for the business area in Schwabing. Rooms are clean and functional. Breakfast is good. There were a few minor maintenance issues, like flickering lights in the bathroom, and a leaky shower hose.

Really outstanding service and friendly staff. We had a wonderful stay! Short walk to the Schwabing area and 15 minutes train ride to Marienplatz. Highly recommend!

Munich made comfortable and affordable
Well positioned for our needs of visiting Munich and accommodating U-Bahn travel into the city. 20 min. walk to station and easy to ride in. Quiet neighborhood and close to Sixt car rental outlet. Staff was friendly and Internet connection fine.

It's a typical business hotel without small towel, toothbrush and others. Luckily the bartender allowed me to refill still water for free as long as you ask. The self-made pancake was nice though.

Visited this hotel many times ,I like the location few minutes walk to tram stop which runs every 10 minutes then underground 3 stops the centre of Munich .very comfortable king size bed and good shower ,i always find everything very clean .All the empoyees are very welcoming and helpful.Check in very quick and given preferred room and receptionist reconized us from previous visits which is a very pleasant personal touch .breakfast good with plenty of choice and restaurant in the evening .This hotel is my favourite in Munich , excellent price and windows slightly open in the bedroom which is a bonus excellent and most comfortable

Not central but o.k.
This is part of the Ibis chain so it runs to their formula. The location is in a new district, close to the offices of companies like IBM and new apartment blocks. Getting around by public transport - the best way to get around - is quite easy and involves little walking or waiting. Staff were pleasant, breakfast was thoughtful (not too much waste) and an adequate start to the day. My (basic) room was on the small but to the Ibis formula, so comfortable enough.

Pleasant and cost effective for a quick visit
Room was basic but nice. Duvet was slightly stained but not a huge issue. Staff were very pleasant and once we found the tube (which is a bit of a trek) it was convenient enough. Very good for the price.

Ibis is a above-average/good hotel in Schwabing area north of Munich city center ... The room had a comfortable futon bed, and the bathroom was average. The air conditioning was shut off for the season (which made my first night of three nights a little less comfortable than I'd hope) and the TV was super small (perhaps a 10" TV) ... Front desk sent someone up very quickly to unlock the window so it could open all the way, which was appreciated ... The area around the hotel is under construction, but it is otherwise pretty quiet ... The hotel has a nice bar and outdoor patio ...

Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was a tad small but very modern. The area is surrounded by office parks so it's safe and fairly quiet. The ubahn is about 10-15 min walk. Breakfast was very nice, fresh bread and croissants were a hit.

Nice hotel with good service
Clean, comfortable hotel with English speaking staff. Restaurant and bar in hotel served good food and beer at a decent price. Room was a bit hot and the windows don't open fully. Overall a good place at an affordable price, but a bit out of the way for sightseeing. Was meeting a friend from overseas who was staying at this location, so it made sense to stay there as well.

Okay, but VERY SPARTAN.
My husband and I stayed here because the tour we were going to pick up used this hotel. The staff was excellent and friendly, English-speaking at the desk. We were actually here for three nights before the tour, then one night after the tour. Our (two different rooms) were extremely small, very hot (in December! So we opened the window), lacked sufficient electrical outlets, had no bathtub (only shower), had no amenities other than non-detachable shampoo/body-wash tubes in bath and at sink. The toilet in the second room, 2111, did not adequately flush. There is a small place to hang your clothes and it had some shelves, but it was hardly a closet. These rooms feel like dorm rooms. If my husband and I were not small people, we would have felt extremely cramped. Parkstadt is a new outskirt of Munich, with construction going on in every direction you can look. It is fairly far out, with a small shopping center a good walk away, and you must take the bus to get into town. The Metro (U-bahn) is inconvenient. You take the subway from the airport to where you pick up a bus for Parkstadt. There is no bonafide grocery store available, and no fast food or restaurant available other than in the hotel. The other hotel in the courtyard (Novotel) has softdrinks in a case and a few little foods. Pay a little more if you must to get a hotel closer to downtown or to the Metro.
