“Perfectly fine”

Small but clean rooms, perfect for someone on a budget who wants a place to lay their head. The breakfast buffet was fresh and typical of european continental breakfasts. The staff at the desk was very helpful with directions and advice on where to eat.

“Great location -- friendly staff”

We were very happy with our stay at Hotel Cervo. First, the location was great. It was about a 15-minute walk from the central train station (you can also take a one-stop subway/metro ride) and about 5 minutes from the nearest metro stop. It is also within walking distance to the Duomo and all the major attractions in Milan. The hotel is right next door to a grocery store, which is perfect for getting cold drinks or snacks. The staff were very friendly and accodomating. We left our passports in the room and they found them and stored them for us until we got back! The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable that we slept more than we should have while in such a great city! My only small issue is that the room was a little small, but it was definely big enough for us. We would definitely stay there again!

“Very helpful and friendly staff”

We only stayed for 1 night but found the staff really welcoming, efficient and helpful. The room was comfortable, if a little heavy in the decor. Get a map from reception before walking in to the centre! Convenient metro station is the alternative to a 10 minute walk.

“Good hotel”

The hotel is in a good location, not too far from the Duomo Cathederal, main shopping area etc. There is a very pleasant park nearby, if you fancy a stroll through on your way to Duomo Square. There is a good restaurant attached to the hotel, and a really nice pub/bar, The Friends, next door but one. There is also a supermarket a couple of doors away, so everything you need is close to hand. The hotel was comfortable, and the room promptly cleaned each day. The reception and breakfast room staff were all very helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay there again, if returning to Milan.

“Great location, great staff”

We found Cervo Hotel very convenient in equation price/quality. Rooms are ok, not very big but clean and neat. Bathroom is small, but we get used of it. Amenities ok. Breakfast is complete and good: ask the waiter for the "expresso capucchino". Staff has always a smile on their face and they make you feel home. Free internet. Really convenient!

“Great Value”

The Cervo Hotel was more than adequate for our needs. It provided great value for the money. It's not the newest or fanciest building, but that was not an issue to us. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very functional. The breakfast was more than enough (fruits, cereals, croissants, eggs, ham, coffee, juices, etc.). The location was a bit out of the main downtown area, but certainly within walking distance (approx 3 long blocks - like walking from the Eaton Centre to Union Station in Toronto). In addition, there was a Metro stop a block away, so some nights we took it home. We also got great service from the hotel management. They were very helpful in answering questions and giving us guidance. We were very pleased with this hotel.

“ideal for solo traveller”

All I needed was somewhere to sleep and wash and this hotel was ideal. Clean rooms, good sized functional bathroom and TV. Breakfast was ok, your usual continental hotel breakfast. Hotel staff were fine, although not fantastic. Location of hotel was good, as only minutes from Republicca metro stop and only 20 minute walk from centre of city. On either side of hotel was a nice, friendly bar and a Carrefour express

“Convenience at reasonable rates”

The Hotel Cervo is very conveniently located near Piazza Reppublica, close to the Metro and several bars and restaurants. It's a short walk to the main railway station, where you can get a bus to the airport. It's also near a lovely big public park/garden. It is currently [mid-July 2011] renovating its reception area, but judging by the very recently renovated dining room it will be shipshape pretty soon. My single room was very small, but otherwise perfectly acceptable, and for Milan it was reasonably priced. The staff were professional, and friendly enough, but it's not a hotel with any atmosphere. In short, I think its main virtue was its convenient location. If I returned to Milan, I'd look around for other options, but I'd be perfectly happy to stay at the Cervo again if need be.
