“Excellent location,clean, great breakfast”
Excellent location,great breakfast,clean hotel.
“Fantastic value and location”
This has got to be the best located hotel if you are in Melbourme for shopping. I can't think of anywhere better. I've stayed here twice and it's very good for its range/class/type of hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, the beds were good, the bathroom was modern (recently updated/renovated). The service was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fine for what it was. They seem to have a bit of an issue with the breakfast area not being large enough to cater for all guests - we had a to wait a short while (5 minutes) for a table when we were there but that's really not a big issue for me. And maybe it was just that morning that it was a problem and not every day. Overall I think this is a great hotel for the value and location and will definitely stay here again.
“Not Happy!”
Not what I was expecting. The photos on the web site are nothing like what you get. Bathroom was tiny. Room was small.Sink provided to wash dishes but no soap, sponge or teatowel. House keeping did not do any dishes. Staff did not explain and features of motel eg: use of swipe cards in lifts etc. Construction work on Little Bourke St starts at 7am. Very noisy. King size bed was 2 singles put together. Not happy!
“Not impressed given there are so many choices in the close proximity”
We were not highly impressed with this property. Facing the main dining area is a huge demolition site. The other two restaurants looked seedy (one abuts a gambling casino, with incessant comings and goings !). The room outlook was a blank wall, ie, nil.
“Not sure”
Location is fantastic, however, the room is kinda old, aircon is loud and blowing above the bed, cleanliness is average ... Overall, only if you want to stay for just few hours and check out.
“ok”
good location but the wall is thin, you can hear the next door neighbour talking etc..
“Good Location”
China Town, Myer, David Jones, Tram, everything right on the door step.
“ok”
ok
“Good to leave your bags at...”
Decent little hotel in a great location. Very small rooms but comfy bed. Good place to stay if your out of the room most of the time.
“The best location and value will stay again!”
I enjoyed my stay at Mercure Welcome Melbourne, the lovely lady upgraded my room which was bigger (she actually gave me two options). The room was very clean. The room was away from all that noise outside. The location was excellent close to everything! walk to all attractions, shops and theatres. The hotel was very busy but still very friendly staff. This Mercure Welcome Melbourne hotel was excellent, I would stay again when visiting Melbourne. Keep up the good job. We stayed in Mercure Hobart in July 2011. We were very dissappointed the staff were not very friendly and not helpful and the rooms were not cleaned everyday, we had a lot of trouble with the staff not helping with our needs, swipe cards not working, forgetting to give us clean towels. We would never stay at the horrible Mercure Hobart!!!!! It is excellent management and staff that makes a great stay. Thank you Mercure Welcome Melbourne.
