"It was raining cats and dogs and walking into reception with the fire burning was quite enjoyable. Reception was a pleasure and seemless. Rooms clean and well appointed. Even with load-shedding the essentials were working and the Grill Room gave excellent meals including breakfast. The only "question" I have is why breakfast only starts at 8. Does result in coming late at the office. "

"Very beautiful place with very welcoming owners. This break at the end of the working day was very relaxing. For Europeans not used to loadshedding, bring mosquito repellent to protect yourself from their arrival when the fan stops! This will not stop me from coming back each time I will visit Paarl. The housekeeper was charming and efficient but the manager was elusive and hasn't responded to communications. We had just stayed at a guest house a few km to the north where we had a lovely daily breakfasts so unclear why DWWL couldn't provide what we had paid for. A voucher, or some Rand, to use at a local cafe would have been sufficient. "
