The large outdoor pool is surrounded by wooden sun loungers with white mattresses, shaded by parasols, with a poolside bar nearby. The decked terrace jettisons over the sand directly on the beach. A complimentary pool towel service operates. The beach club offers complimentary sun loungers by the pool and on the beach.
Opened in 2006, the spa includes a hydrotherapy pool with different jets for sub aquatic massage, a sauna, hammam, experience showers and a relaxation area (surcharge applies). A studio hosts dance, aerobics and yoga classes. A health club provides fitness equipment. Golf lessons are available, as are a driving range and golf courses.
Free high-speed wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel, and limited parking is complimentary.
Rooms
The Hotel Guadalmina Spa and Golf Resort features 178 air-conditioned guestrooms housed in 2, 4-story buildings with garden, sea, or pool views. Some rooms feature light decor and modern design, while others have a more traditional Mediterranean ambience with wrought iron 4-poster beds, cherry wood furnishings, and marble floors. All extend to furnished terraces and have marble bathrooms with shower and tub combinations, hairdryers and complimentary toiletries. Amenities include a plasma TV with cable service and pay movies, wireless Internet access, safes, direct-dial phones and minibars.

Guests of the Hotel Guadalmina Spa and Golf Resort enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning.
Cocoa Restaurant - Refurbished in 2006 this contemporary restaurant has floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides offering views over the golf course and sea beyond. Beige marble floors, ornamental trees, calico and black-striped chairs and white linen-topped tables. Serves hot and cold breakfast buffet each morning and an à la carte menu at lunch and dinner. Sample dishes include Red Tuna Carpaccio with Rocket, Parmesan, and Grapefruit and Pistachio Vinaigrette, Lamb Stew with Pumpkin Puree, and Sea Bass with Glazed Onions. Guests can also dine on the open air terrace.
Taray Restaurant - Dining room refurbished in April 2006 offering views over the south Guadalmina golf course. Glass doors on three sides are opened in fine weather. Extends to an outdoor terrace. Also serves an extensive buffet lunch on Sundays including fresh fish, seafood, meat, cold dishes, salads and various desserts.
Aqua Bar - Light, contemporary bar serving drinks, cocktails and snacks throughout the day. Sandwiches and salads feature on the menu. Leads to a gallery and exhibition space displaying modern Spanish artworks.
Beach Club - Past the pool, the wood decked beach club is set directly on the beach and serves typically Mediterranean cuisine by the sea. Open for lunch and dinner during the summer.
Recreation
The hotel is surrounded by one nine-hole and two 18-hole golf courses owned by the Guadalmina Golf Club. Hotel guests have privileged access and can tee-off at the 11th hole of the Guadalmina South Course, which is accessible directly from the hotel grounds and runs right along the sea shore. There are 20 start times available at both the North Course and the South Course. The North Course is renowned for its difficulty and the South has more water hazards. There is also an 18-hole putting green at the hotel.
Guests can also book start times at most golf courses in the area at discounted rates.

“Not impressed”
You need a car to arrive. The hotel was not so clean, floors were sandy and felthy... furninture quite old... Breakfast not as good as they claim in the other reviews. The beach is FULL of rocks.....
“Don't stay here if you need internet service!”
Internet service DOES NOT WORK. No opportunity for wired, wifi will not work at all in rooms, and rarely works in public places (lobby, bar, pool). If you need to work, you won't be able to! The hotel is also 15 minutes from the city of Marbella. Great grounds, large rooms, but would not recommend due to location and lack of data coverage. Cell coverage also spotty.
“Very Nice”
The hotel was very clean And the staff was helpful with directions and suggestions for places to go snd things to do. Most of the staff was fluent in English.
“Perfect - what we expected”
In my oppinion, it was perfect. The hotel is a little isolated but with a car this relative disadvantage dissapears. I give it 5 stars, maybe is too much, but is clearly 4 stars. I gave it 5 just to compensate the bad opinions.

“Nice facility overall...but had to take many taxis to go anywhere off property”
The pool was lovely and beach amazing. The front desk staff were friendly.....but often simply agreed with you....yes the bus will get you to the airport on time....NO it didn't even arrive. But that was minor. My real concern was with the rude waiters and expensive prices in Food and Beverage. They changed the seating rules each night for no logical reason. One night you could have buffet inside but not outside...and in this area or not. I never got to ask what would happen if 1 person wanted Buffet and others menu??? We had to decide in the foyer if we wanted buffet...in order for the waiter to seat us. Very annoying as the rules changed daily.
“Amazing Resort! Not so convenient location...”
Upon our arrival we were greeted by the security man who stands outside the lobby 24/7. We felt very safe the whole time we were staying here. We ate at the buffet breakfast every morning and this was our favorite part of our stay! Its great! However dinner at the restaurant was not as pleasing. Overall, we had a great experience here and would highly recommend it to honeymooners or any married couple. The location is not so great. Its situated within a residential area so you must take a 10 min cab to go to Puerto Banus (where all the shops and restaurants are) and the cabs are not cheap.

“Great location, views, terrible service.”
Despite checking in to a room reserved as King Size for a honeymoon I found the room two twin beds. I rejected the first offer for them to fix it next day afternoon, so they promised to fix it same night. I came back from the evening wedding to find the two beds simple pushed together with a bed sheet holding them together!! Not exactly a honeymoon-friendly bed.
