“Fantastic holiday at Una”
Una Hotel was absolutely gorgeous - the Junior Suite was stunning! Walk in wardrobes, beautiful terrace and immaculate condition. The staff at the hotel were so helpful. We played tennis every day at the hotel and the pool was fantastic, with a lifeguard and poolside towels available. The breakfast was excellent with a huge range of choice. The beach was five minutes walk, and we could access all the sights like Pisa, Florence and Lucca easily from this location. A fantastic holiday and we will definitely be going back!
“Lovely coastal resort hotel in Italiy”
We spent three nights at the UNA Hotel Versilia and wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was sleek and modern and the staff was extremely accommodating. There were a few maintenance problems with our room - but they were quickly resolved. We stayed during the town's 'off season' so the crowds of tourists were not there - although there was a bicycle race that brought in quite a crowd on Sunday. The hotel had bicycles for us to use to travel up and down the coast - the view was wonderful with the Mediterranean on one side and a mountain range on the other. The breakfast was outstanding - and included a table of 'bio' items for those with allergies or food sensitivities. I am lactose intolerant so the choice of soy or rice milk 'made my day.' We especially acknowledge Claudio, Christian, Mattio and chef Fabio for providing outstanding service. We chose to eat at the hotel every night because of the quality of the food and the price.
“Hotel Una Versilia”
We loved the hotel; decor is uncluttered and rooms are spacious and comfortable. The balcony enabled a view of the surrounding countryside and a glimpse of the sea. Breakfast was excellent - huge variety with fresh juices, fruit and good choice of cheeses particularly appealling. Staff were extremely helpful at all times. The roof terrace and bar would have been lovely in the early evening but unfortunately it was too cold to keep it open.
“A modern designer hotel in a quiet location”
We stayed for 6 night in a Junior Suite consisting of a separate bedroom and living room plus a large balcony overlooking the garden. The hotel is bright and airy throughout and the bedroom was very comfortable. In a few areas design outweighed practicality. Breakfasts and evening meals were good, with plenty of variety, but the latter were a bit expensive. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The pool is big but only opens between 10 and 6 so an early or late dip is not an option. The hotel is set back from the coast road in lovely gardens, but it is only a few minutes walk to the beach. We did not have a car so had to rely on public transport. Bus stops are nearby to get to Viareggio (and hence further afield) or Forte del Marmi. There is even a bus direct to Pisa airport (about 1.25 hours) leaving from a bus stop 10 minutes along the road. Bus users are perhaps rare as we were given incorrect advice by the front desk on two occasions. Overall a good hotel and one we would definitely recommend.
“Great hotel, awful location”
This is a wonderful hotel but in a very inconvenient location if you want to get around Tuscany. All the hotel staff were polite and very helpful. The rooms were impressive, being spacious, modern and well equipped. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and not over-priced for what it was. Unfortunately, the closest railway station in Viareggio was a 20 Euro taxi ride away, or at least half an hour away by bus and these only ran once an hour. Lido di Camaiore was a long beach with down-market bars and facilities for the most part. We were there at the end of October, and luckily most of these were shut - we dread to think what it would be like in full season.
