"As an Expedia VIP member, we were pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade upon arrival, which was a nice gesture. The resort also does a great job with activities and entertainment. There were daily activities for all ages and the nightly shows were fun and well done. We happened to be there when the 2026 World Cup kicked off, and the resort put together a fun celebration that really added to the atmosphere. The staff throughout the resort were wonderful—friendly, hardworking, and genuinely welcoming. The hospitality really stood out and made our stay enjoyable. A few things could be improved. We found the lunch and poolside food options somewhat limited, especially after several days. The alcoholic drinks were hit or miss for us, and most of the ones we ordered weren't really to our taste. One thing that's obviously out of the resort's control was the weather. We happened to visit during a very windy week, which made some activities more challenging and created much cooler evenings than we expected. If you're traveling during a windy season, I would suggest packing a light jacket, sweatshirt, sweater, and even a pair of pants just in case. Thankfully, the resort provided blankets for guests who wanted them while watching the evening shows or dining on the beach. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend Sandos Finisterra, especially for couples, families, or anyone looking for a resort with a great location, lots of activities, and exceptional staff."

"An amazing experience. The food was incredible. The buffet was hard to beat but Agave and Krystal were amazing. The steakhouse had a wait each night but it's not worth the wait, explore the other restaurants. The service was top tier with incredibly kind and helpful staff that remembered us through our stay and made the experience even better. Great pool vibes, a rowdy side and calm side. Delicous drink service by the pool. The amenities and entertainment were top tier. Don't miss the steam room in the spa and karaoke night was a must watch. Amazingly clean rooms with great clean up service."

"We had a Junior suite on the second floor and it was extremely spacious for 2 people. It had a kitchenette, separate dining area and seating area in the suite. A room wide, 3-panel sliding door accessed a large covered patio with views of the bay and ocean liners that called on the port. The resort was quiet and relaxing with well prepared meals or pizza on site. Bell hop staff recorded our arrival and departure in any taxi, shuttle, or Uber vehicle, which would help recover any items left behind on a trip. The pool staff was on the spot to move chairs or umbrellas as needed to take advantage of the best sun/shade needs. Easy to relax at the 2 pools, hot tub, and order chair side beverages or meals with attentive staff. The hotel had its own reserved beach with access to a safe swimming area - but there were still plenty of vendors offering their wares for purchase. 15-20 minute walk to the marina, shopping centers, and Walmart. Felt like the resort was centrally located for all activities. Would definitely stay again."
