“A true palace on the Beach”
Other than the way they handle dinner reservations, I would definetly go back whenever I'm in Cabo. The all-inclusive is great. You don't need to worry about anything. Everything is provided.
“Worth EVERY PENNY!!!!”
Everything was wonderful!!! The hotel, the staff, the food, the room, etc. This was a truly wonderful vacation, and we can't wait to do it again!!!!! So RELAXING!!!!!
“Great Trip”
Great Hotel. Food was very good, great facilities, and the all inclusive free drinks we almost too much!!!! Plan on returning and staying at the RIU again.
“Very Satisfied”
I have travelled quite a bit and am the type of person that relies on reviews of other travelers and I was very satisfied with the resort. I surprised my husband with this trip for his 50th birthday along with 9 friends and everyone loved it! Check- in was a very smooth process, the resort was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were very good, the large pools were clear and clean. The swim up bar pools were not clean, but were small in comparison and not as inviting as the larger pools. (It didn't seem to stop a lot of people from going in them!) The ocean view is breathtaking and the beach is very nice. Swimming is discouraged right in front of the hotel due to strong rip tides, but some tourists still swam and took their chances. There is a place to swim about a 20 minute walk down the beach. The location of the resort was great because it was a $3 cab ride into Cabo only 5 minutes away, and a 20 minute ride to Los Cabos. I recommend seeing both towns, they are both very safe. I would recommend Cabo San Lucas and the RIU Palace to everyone. I would definitely go back!
“Amazing stay at Riu Palace”
Me and my friend stayed at the Riu Palace for 7 nights on Nov. 14th and let me just say that it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel was beyond clean , the food great and staff very friendly and helpful. The beach was beautiful and even though everyone said not swim in it we did and had a blast...the waves are just a little stronger than anywhere else but once u get passed the beggining the ocean is calm and you can swim . But all the fun was to play in those crazy waves.... The pools are immaculate and beautifull, there are pool bars but the waiters walk around and take your order so you dont have to get up.... The next door hotel Riu Santa Fe is not as nice and the rooms dont have good views..so i wouldnt recommend that one if someone cant decide between these two....go for the Palace!!! The food selection at the hotel was great and I found no problem with making reservations for the ala carte restaurants. My favourite restaurant was Krystal but they were all pretty good, even the buffet where we ate most of the time... Anyway we are very pleased with the hotel and our trip, would definitely recommend the location and the hotel itself.
“Cabo Wow-Bo!”
Absolutely loved the Cabo "RIU" all inclusive experience. I would go back in a heart beat. The staff was incredible. From dining to pool to photographers and beyond. Just incredible. Only down side, the on site restaurants were booked by the time we got up to make reservations. No biggie as the food in the main dining areas were fantastic. And the king size bed was two beds pushed together to make a large king. Again, no biggie as all else made up for any slight downside. Just grab a beer from the in-room fridge or some tequila from the wall dispenser and head outside for some 80 degree weather and all is good!
“Best week of my life!”
This place was so beautiful. I felt like a king waking to the serene sounds of the fountain that marked the courtyard every morning. The name "Riu Palace" was more than fitting for such a palatial resort. The multiple pools (and pool bars!) were some of the most beautiful settings I have ever seen. The buffet was amazing and the staff were some of the nicest people I have met in my life. The entertainment team made sure that no one was left out or felt alien in a different country. The potential activities that one can do are endless. If you are looking to go all inclusive, Riu Palace is the place for you.
“Nice but noisy”
Very nice, elegant all inclusive. Friendly, happy staff and good food for the most part. Reservation rules for "Special Restaurants" quite inconvenient. Could stand more treadmills in the exercise spa-always full. Biggest complaint--we were told that we were checking into the quietest part of the hotel when EVERY night we were awakened by yelling, screaming, singing, door slamming overimbibers at two or three oclock in the mornings. Would have hated to be in the noisy section. Supposidly spring break was over. Was amazed how dry the surrounding country side was compared to the lush green grounds of Riu. Beautiful beach with very rough surf. Lots of water sports. Short walk to the Marina in Cabo was worth it--some neat old ships and wildlife.
“one of the best in Cabo”
don't bus from the airport!!! it was good for one thing and that is that we saw nearly every hotel in Cabo and our's seemed to be one of the nicest. everything was GREAT, except the system to get tickets for the gourmet restaurants. you get them the day before and you have to stand in line @ 6pm. so if you are out having fun, plan on the buffet (which is really good), but the idea of vacation for us was a little more romantic. all in all, a wonderful time.
“Best Vacation of My Life”
The Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas is by far the best vacation of my life. The hotel was very nicely designed and was very beautiful. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The all-inclusive was definitely worth the money. All drinks and all restaurants were included in this all inclusive package. Unlike some other resorts were only certain types of alcohol are included. There were 5 restaurants to choose from. 4 of these restaurants you needed to make a reservation for the day before and the other was a buffet style restaurant. We ate at the buffet restaurant every meal except 1. They had such a large selection of foods and the food was so delicious we didn't even want to go to any of the other restaurants.
