The property was clean and the decor is fun. It’s a decent hotel close to shops and restaurants and dodgers stadium. Multiple paid parking lots are available close by. However, we stayed there prior and returned because of the rooftop bar and the basement bar/lounge. When we arrived we were told the bar was for private events only and the basement bar was closed indefinitely! And yet they still charged us a $29/night “resort fee”. Also, going to the lobby to ask for ice is kinda a pain. They did offer a daily credit at the cafe which we used once. We also tried to upgrade our room because it essentially was a cubicle with a bathroom and we were told no because we booked through Expedia, even when we said please it’s our 24 year anniversary. Overall it is somewhere I would stay again, but I think we will be trying a new place for our next LA trip.

We had to switch rooms because our first room didn't have hot water. Our first room also had a handicapped shower vs a real shower. that was annoying. They also don't tell you that the hotel has a $25 convenience fee for staying there. they don't tell you about parking until you are there. It's paid parking it's $30 a day if you don't leave, and $40 if you want to go in and out at your convenience. There could have been better information about that.

I would start with the terrible parking. Although the private parking lot I was referred to were very kind, the fact that I had to park on the third floor or above and the stairwell and elevator were filled with the smell of urine and seemed unsafe at night was not a plus. The tiny room I received with the concrete bulkhead in the room and desk that was functional for working or eating was frustrating.

The property was modern and in a great location downtown. It was walkable to the metro, but in a location that allowed it to still be relaxing and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The accessible standard rooms are not really accessible except for the bathroom. The door is hard to open, the bed is high, there isn't enough space for the wheelchair to go on the side of the bed (maybe it can on one side), it is hard to reach the blinds to open them and they are broken and need an engineer to help open and close them for you. Even in the bathroom, one of the bars is on a rough wall. So you need to be careful when grabbing the bar not to hurt/scratch your fingers. BUT the staff are so professional and they tried addressing all my complains. They lowered the bed for me, they moved me to a studio to have more space for my wheelchair without extra charge and they accomodated free room sercice for getting food to my room. The reason I am giving this a 3 is because the room was not accessible for me as a person on a wheelchair.

We stayed two nights to see a game at crypto. Easy to walk to the arena, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was tasty and portions were large. Room was clean and bathroom was spacious. However noise from the street was easily heard.

The room was very clean and the breakfast layout was GREAT. The bed and pillows were amazing. The air conditioning operation was easy to manage and worked properly. Although the 4 lockers is a good idea if tenants are not friends, there is not enough countertop space; shelves in the bathroom would be a good idea. One of the window shades was non-operational, but we hung a comforter over the side of the top bunk. The staff looked very professional and were very nice. Thank you!

Room was really small and poorly designed. Bathroom translucent wall with motion detecting lights would be terrible for more than one person staying in the room. Very little storage space. Desk and chair was high up which made them less comfortable to use and to sit on to put on shoes and things. Found a dirty used q-tip on the floor of the bathroom. Front desk was unstaffed for a few minutes when I arrived which made me have to wait to check in. They neglected to tell me that I had a $25/day credit with the restaurant. On the plus side, when I decided to check out a day early they said I could without paying for the last night (although one person at the front desk said I could and another said I couldn't which made it more nerve racking).

Building is beautiful and well kept, staff was all very friendly and helpful, rooftop restaurant is delicious and service was excellent. Room service shuts down a little early but there is a 7-11 across the street for snacks.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed in the property. It is renovated, clean, hip. The staff are very friendly. It is a small, boutique like hotel. The hotel gives you a $25 voucher to be used for the coffee bar and a great breakfast offering or the rooftop bar. They also give you a gym pass to LA fitness. Parking is $30 a day next door. The rooms are small but nicely furnished. This is my go to place to stay in LA. Convenient to the freeway.

Super nice place, would stay again. Tip: you get a $25/day food amd beverage credit automatically. This can be used at the bar or cafe that has excellent breakfast and high end pastries. Offsite parking was not a problem. It is right beside the hotel with plenty of spaces.

Pros: friendly staff, pretty roof restaurant/bar, nice lobby that’s comfortable and good to work in with a nice breakfast selection, convenient to transportation and the fine arts area. Cons: no dresser or closet in the room, the lighting is limited to a ceiling lamp and a bare bulb, no hot water in the sink or shower (luke warm was as good as it got), dirt and stains on the window shades, no refrigerator for leftovers, no coffee maker, bottles of water were displayed but cost $3 each and there were no cups for tap water, no gym, a beautiful lounge type room featured on the website is not actually part of the hotel. I was traveling solo and stayed in a single king room at the back of the building that faced into an alley where the trash was picked up 2x per night. It’s not the worst place but it’s not 4 stars either. Given how much it cost (even with a discount) I wouldn’t stay here again. If it was cheaper I probably would.

Rooftop fabulousness
We booked this hotel for our Valentines weekend getaway from a local surrounding city. We were happy to check in & the front desk staff was friendly and made eye contact. We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the rooftop restaurant & the staff there was just as friendly. The room was super clean and the linens were equally soft and luxurious. We were disappointed that there was absolutely no streaming availability from our room. The front desk informed us the following morning that they had their engineer working on a connection issue & would add our room number to their list. The breakfast food was wonderful but the female staff was borderline rude & never made eye contact when we asked for our two plain croissants to be heated (I walked back to her counter to ask for this & it was as she knew in advance why I was back. Raising her eyebrows with her eyes closed & saying, “Heated up?”) I hope she attends some customer service training or finds a different profession. We also didn’t appreciate the bathroom light to go on in the middle of the night when we both got up to use the facilities. It was blinding & the illumination woke us up. I would prefer to turn the light on & off myself.
