“Convenient and clean”
Overall, this is a good hotel for a family. It is very close to the train and our room was clean. The decor in the room did look old, but it was satisfactory for what you basically need at a decent price.
“Lovely Hotel in a great location. Would stay there again”
We had a few problems with air conditioning during our first two days, but the hotel offered a free meal, along with free wifi as restitution on our return stay three days later. Getting the wifi to work with several passwords/codes was a bit cumbersome. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast, and the staff was very helpful.
“Convenient location”
We wanted comfortable accomodation, with the expected Hilton service, which we received. One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel in this part of London, was the convenience to St Pancras Station - which we were able to walk to with our luggage. The Tube is nearby and lots of shops etc too. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
“Hilton Euston in London”
The hotel staff were extremely helpful with answering questions and planning excursions. The room was uncomfortably hot...even with a fan. The hotel was situated well for train/subway travel but not terribly convienent going to/from Heathrow.
“It was great until we needed help.”
We booked 2 weeks at this hotel to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Everything was fine for the first week and a half. Then the volcano in Iceland erupted and we were stuck in London for an extra 5 days. The hotel staff informed us that they could not extend our stay at the rate we had paid, that it would be about triple that amount to stay on, if they could find room for us. I would have thought that the fact we had been there 2 weeks, and that this was an extraordinary occurrence affecting tens of thousands of people, would have allowed for an exception, but I was wrong. We spent the last 5 days in London at a very nice hotel a block and a half away, and were charged the rate they advertised on the internet with no attempt to take advantage of the situation. If we go to London again, guess where we will stay?
“A/C Shaky”
Early (around noon) check-in was great. The location of the hotel to the Euston tube station is fantastic and it is about halfway between the British Museum and British Library. London had a heat wave and we spent 3 nights in a room without a working air conditioner. Then we were moved to a different larger room. The new room was nice and if that had been my experience, or the air conditioner in the first room worked, then the hotel would have gotten very good ratings in all categories.
“Will go back to this hotel the next time”
My wife and I had a great experience staying at this hotel in central London. It is conveniently located. We walked a lot -- from the hotel to Picadilly Circus which took about 20 mins. Also, Euston station is 2 blocks away with a Marks and Spencers Food mart in it. Kingscross station is not far either, perhaps like a 10 min walk. The concierge service at the hotel was very good and made our stay pleasant. The only problem we really had at the hotel was the tap water. It is HARD water, worse than the water we have noticed anywhere else in England. Watch out for the shampoo and soap lather - it will be hard to wash off.
“Would Stay Again”
The room was large and comfortable. The location is ideal if you are traveling anywhere by train, the Euston station is right around the corner. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“Perfect Location”
We loved this hotel. It was close to transportation and restaurants. If you are going to do a one day trip to Paris, it is within walking distance to the St. Pancras train station where you catch the Eurostar to Paris. There are three tube stops and loads of busses nearby. We took the tube train from Heathrow Airport to the nearest tube stop. If you do this, it will be between a 45 minute to 1 hour ride. However, you can save a lot of money. We got off of the train and took a eight minute walk to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly. When the front desk staff found out it was my birthday, they sent up a wonderful bottle of wine to our room. If you are American, please know that these Hilton rooms will not be as large as we are accostumed to. However, they were clean, nice and perfect for our needs. I would definitely stay there again :-).
“Very good hotel I would recommend”
A clean, quiet and nice hotel close to tube and in walking distance to many attractions. Very good breakfast. As a minus can mention lack of free internet (like we had in Megaro hotel).
