“Pleasantly surprised by this hotel”
We didn't know what to expect from this hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. We spent a week in Estoril and we found the hotel to be clean and safe. The staff was always helpful and pleasant. The buffet breakfast was OK, but not great. I wouldn't touch the gray sausages and the bacon wasn't what you'd expect in the USA. There was a good variety of breads, fruits and coffee to start off the day. The bar in the lobby was OK too to have a drink in the evening. There isn't a lot on this street except for an Italian restaurant, so you have to go a little farther if you need something else. You can easily walk to the train station (Cascais-Lisboa line), the beach, and other places around the Casino. Overall, it was a great stay. Now for a few negatives. They don't have a parking lot, so the "free parking" that you hear about is on the street. I always found a spot, but it wasn't easy. There are no laundry facilities on-site and the fees to have your clothes cleaned were way too high, so take enough clothes for your entire stay. Other than that, I'd have to recommend this hotel and I'd stay there again.
“An all rounder, great value for money! Detailed review”
Hotel Londres, is a great hotel, the rooms are clean with a balcony (you may not get a view of anything, but its a chance to sit outside). The overall standard was great, it has a restaurant and a pool and the staff are friendly and helpful. Pros: Clean good standard rooms Pool Restaurants with buffet breakfast mainly continental but includes bacon/sausages and eggs. The bar area has free WIFI Close to estoril train station (5 mins walk) Close to Estoril Casino Cons: At night time you can hear a great deal of noise, this could be due to the lightweight walls and doors. Location - although the hotel is very close to the beach it is at the top of a steep hill. The pool closes at 7:30 everyday and therefore you are not allowed to sit beside it. No room service available Restaurant only provides an evening or lunch buffet service at around 15 Euros so you cannot choose dishes seperately. If you wanted something light to eat then you had to look elsewhere. Conclusion: Overall the hotel was a good choice, the cons above didnt effect us much, the rooms were clean and were maintained daily. The staff are friendly and helpful and even helped us to book cheap taxis etc from their own taxi driver which saved us a great deal of money.
“Great!”
This was great, but internet can only be accessed in a common area.
“Highly recommend”
Great 3 star hotel, good staff, clean, quiet rooms, well maintained, I'll be surprised if there's a better 3 star hotel in the area. The only issue I found in reviews was the lack of parking but we parked free every day/night 50-100 meters from the hotel. I will go back to stay there again.
“Very well located, quiet and very personal”
Overall I was extremely happy with my stay in the Londres. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Only thing I would complain about is that the room was cleaned very late in the day.
“If you want beaches, stay here.”
Great place, awesome location, only a 5 minute walk to beautiful beaches and the biggest Casino in Europe. Highly recommend this place, very excellent.
“Heart of Estoril”
For much less than a 4-5 star hotel, we enjoyed the location of Londres. About 4 "blocks" from the ocean, a short walk to a couple of restaurants, and a quiet neighborhood. Breakfast buffet is good, with fresh fruit and breads as well as eggs, cereals, cheeses. Do try the Frango restaurant a block further up the hill, to the left as you exit the hotel. BEST Chicken Piri-Piri in the world! Dinner is well priced, service over and above, food delicious!
“Estoril Escape”
Lovely hotel in excellent location. Room was a bit noisy but loved the area & will be back to visit one day.
“Not bad for the price.”
We booked this hotel in January for September, arrived early and were advised our rooms would be ready at 2:00 p.m.. The receptionists said, he was sorry that we were having to wait but he would get us some good rooms. At 2:30 we were given our keys, rooms 140 and 142, these were situated on the outside of the building at street level. Not the best rooms in the hotel but ok untill the school run starts at 7:30. Quite a lot of traffic noise!! Room ok with everything you would need. Breakfast good choice, but fruit juice out of a machine and don't go for the sausage unless you like frankfurters. Bar prices reasonable for a hotel. We were given four complimentary drinks for having to wait for our room. Hotel is mainly used by Scandanavian and German Tour operators but hey no problem. If you want a reasonable hotel at a reasonable price this is ok but don't expect the Ritz. Good location for beach, public transport etc... 4 euro return by train to Lisbon, 5euro for taxi to Cascais.
“Great hotel for the price!”
Hotel Londres was close enough to the beach to just walk. It was also close to the town of Caiscais, which is adorable and has famous beaches. The hotel had a decent breakfast every morning and a pool. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel!
