“MINI FAMILY VACATION”
Great customer service. Good place to stay if you want to stay away from the craziness on the strip which is my case since we have little ones. The room was very clean & peaceful. Affordable. Good breakfast included. I would definately go back and recommed it. I even forgot something in the room and when I called the next day they said they found it and I got it back. I really didn't think I would find it. Overall satisfaction!
“Peace in Vegas”
Breakfast is fantastic! Room was wicked cool. Free cookies! Military discount. Warm reception. Free USA Today (sadly, no Manchester Guardian, but you can't have everything, whiners).
“Nice hotel off the strip”
I ususally stay at the Summerlin Tech branch of La Quinta Inn, but this time around I decided to try a different location. I love the fact that this hotel includes mini kitchenettes. The location is amazing and you have a ton of food options and convenience stores close by.
“clean hotel”
nice hotel for someone who doesn't want to be close to the strip
“Perfect for families”
My husband, our 9 year old son and I stayed here for 2 nights in one of the queen bedrooms with a kitchenette. The room was clean, the elevator worked, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen made it very convenient when we wanted to eat in or have cold drinks. The pool is simple but clean and well kept. Our only complaint was that the "heated" pool was very cold. When we mentioned it at check out they were surprised and promised to take care of it for other guests. The front desk people were very nice and the free breakfast is much more than a continental breakfast. They had fresh waffles, hard boiled eggs, bagels, biscuits and gravy, and good coffee to name a few. The location is perfect, close to other shopping and far enough from the strip. We were visiting friends who live in the Summerlin area and it was the perfect location for that. The Firefly restaurant/bar is right across the parking lot with great tapas and an interesting atmosphere for a night out. Parking was ample, well lit and free. The windows in the room opened to allow for fresh air too, which was a nice addition to this totally nonsmoking facility. There's even a small workout center with a few aerobic machines. We would, without a doubt, stay here again.
“Niggling details made experience less than super.”
While the room was really nice, and the service staff very courteous, there were several things that bothered us. 1. No change for laundry -- no change machine in the laundry room, and when we asked at the desk, were told that the manager would be back "tomorrow." Had to go to a local Bank of America to get my own quarters. Sold the extra to the hotel. 2. When the internet went down, we were told that the night manager didn't know how to reboot the system, and it would have to wait until "tomorrow." 3. The printer in the business office (a laser) was out of ink, so I couldn't preprint boarding passes for our flight. Needless to say, they said they would get a new cartridge "tomorrow": 4. When I asked for a comment card at the desk, they didn't have one. The manager went to housekeeping, and they didn't have any either! This says more about the hotel's general manager than the hotel. The room was fine, the hotel clean, the people courteous, and the breakfast selection sparse but good. The general manager's job is to make sure that the little things get done, too, and that didn't happen here. You shouldn't have to worry about things like quarters, print cartridges, and internet connectivity while on vacation.
“Enjoyable Stay”
I enjoyed my stay. Very nice little hotel near the event I visited. Very nice helpful Staff. You get what you are paying. Clean, excelent room, minimal services. Thanks
“Pretty Good Deal for the Money”
I like to stay at LaQuinta because it has a full kitchen. This helps me control calorie intake and cash outlay. I was disappointed in the exercise room, which has no free weights, only treadmill, stair stepper and bike. Luckily, I had packed my Dyna Band. The mattress in our room was a bit too soft for my taste, the iron didn't heat properly and one day we had no maid service (didn't need new towels or linens but would have liked to have had the bed made when we returned that night.). In general, however, our stay was nice. Note: I got the Expedia representative to speak to the hotel representative before I book and they waived the "extra person" fee.
“Too bad we had the worse room in the building”
Too bad we had the room next to the utility room. The last night, some machinery equipment was turned on and we could really hear it in the room. Good thing we were really tired and could sleep through it. We were offered another room but my wife did not want to go through hassle... OTher than that, if you're going to climb in red rocks, this is probably your best bet.
“Comfortable hotel away from the strip”
Large, comfortable room with wireless internet access. Relatively quiet area away from casinos. Limited selection of hot food at complimentary breakfast.
