“Enjoy the Heart of Bellagio”
Go for it; you will not be disappointed.
“"Very pleased"”
This is a good little hotel, run by a very friendly family. The owner and his sons were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was VERY COMFORTABLE, including the bed (not too hard nor too soft); the bathroom had a shower but no bath. There was no mini-bar and no tea-making facilities but I am sure that, if I had asked for a kettle and cups, it would have been provided, as they did give us a breakfast tray when we went out early one morning. Breakfast was well-laid out and copious. The hotel can be reached by 63 cobbled steps from the main road at the bottom of the steps or by walking round that same road and going down a cobbled alley (slightly longer but not so demanding on the legs). It is kept in very good condition and is absolutely spotless. There are small shops and a restaurant/cafe around the hotel. Our room was at the back and it was a bit noisy until 11pm on some nights, depending on how many people were still eating at the restaurant. We stayed 5 days and everything was fine. I loved the inner courtyard, very Roman in style and quiet (front of hotel). I would definitely recommend this charming hotel.
“Great value in Bellagio”
Excellent place to stay for the price. Actually had a lake view from our room even though the room wasn't advertised as a lake view. Family owned and operated; Father and both sons were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
“Sensational Centrale”
Immediately accessible from the lake ferry service dock, all of the staff at the Centrale were warm, friendly, courteous and did everything possible to make our stay a fantastic experience. Very pleasant breakfast room with a great selection of breakfast items. Our room was immaculate and the automated skylight was so cool!!! Less than 5 minutes walk from many exceptional restaurants and bars and a step away from Bellagio's shopping delights. Thank you to all at the Centrale for making our holiday one to remember.
“great location, good value 3 star hotel.”
This is a great little simple 3 star hotel, more like a b&b, the room was comfortable, location right in the centre of bellagio, up the stairs directly opposite the ferry terminal (the town is on the side of a hill). Fresh towels were provided everyday we stayed 3 nights and breakfast was included in our rate, which was a buffet of cereal, crossaints, different cake each day, fresh fruit, yoghurt and italian packaged toasts with a selection of spreads, cheese and ham. Staff were very friendly. We had a room on the top floor 306, it had a skylight and a window (no balcony) which if you leaned out you could see the lake through gaps between the other buildings. Old tv with only 3 channels, but you're not here to watch TV. I would stay again and think it was good value for the price. It also had a lift inside.
“Location great but comfort is not great”
Hotel Centrale is run by a wonderful family who try to help you any way they can. We loved the location in the heart of the old town. Caution: You must climb about 64 cobblestone steps with luggage to reach the hotel. One of the family members helped us, which we appreciated immensely. The hotel was refurbished about seven years ago, and it does have AC, which many hotels in the area do not have. It also provides a laptop for visiting guests and a free continental breakfast in the morning. All of this was well appreciated. The downside of the hotel is in the comfort category. Like many European beds, the bed features a simple mattress on top of a wooden platform. Without a box spring, the beds are very hard. In addition, the bathrooms are very tiny...there is no counter space, and the shower is so small that you can't turn around in it. So, this review is mixed because we enjoyed much about the hotel, but we can't give it a perfect review because of the comfort issues.
