“Loved It”
We absolutely loved this place, from the moment we turned into the drive. The hotel is in a stunning setting. We were welcomed on arrival, and the check-in was quick and very efficient. Our room was spotless and very comfortable, with a huge clean bathroom, complete with claw-footed bath. Breakfasts were beautifully cooked and the service fantastic. All the staff were very professional. The hotel was on the edge of town, not too far to walk but we had our own car and there was plenty of parking available. This was our favourite place to stay in Ireland.
“We LOVE this place”
The location is great, the area is beautiful, the house is stunning, but it is the staff that keeps us returning to Cahernane House. We cannot say enough about them - friendly, personably, accomodating & professional. There are alot of places to stay in Kerry. We are not tempted to try another. Easily, the best stay we've had throughout Ireland. As the Irish say, Cahernane House & Staff are "brilliant".
“Our favorite place”
I guess there MAY be better places than Cahernane house to stay in Killarney, but we wouldn't know it, because we've never been tempted to try anywhere else. Our first stay was in 2006 and every trip to Ireland since, we stay here. We even go out of our way to stay here, making it our home base to drive to other areas we haven't seen. The place is beautiful. The staff is the best. The Cellar bar, oh, the Cellar bar... we love you. (We were sad to see one of the staff was no longer there). The internet worked very well in the public areas. We do wish it worked in the Cellar bar. If I had any suggestions, I think it's time to remodel the bathrooms in the guestrooms in the wing. We'll be back regardless.
“Not when they are hosting a wedding party”
Lovely hotel, however, a wedding on at the weekend we stayed and we were made to feel a bit in the way, i.e not able to use the main dining restaurant. Would have be nice to have be told before we traveled so we could have planned to eat at another venue on the Saturday night, (especially as the hotel makes a feature of it cuisine and dining facilities. Good choice if its not hosting another function thats bigger than you!
“We loved Cahernane.”
We loved staying at Cahernane. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms clean and well-maintained, and the service truly top-notch. Conveniently located right next to Killarney National Park and the Ring of Kerry, we would highly recommend this manor house hotel to others.
