“Useful for Eurodisney and Paris”

We went to Paris as a couple in July 2008. The hotel was great, and the thing that impressed me most was the location of our hotel. Joinville is the equivalent of staying in a zone 3 borough if you were a tourist - 15-20 mins on tube or metro train and you're in the heart of the city. Transport was cheap (and as we're under 25 it was even cheaper on the weekends), and although we didn't do any mega late nights, travelling back around 11pm was never a problem. The hotel was clean, comfotable and the staff we're really friendly and helpful. There's a reasonably priced supermarket right under the hotel which sold everything we needed. The Italian restaurant and Irish bar next to the hotel were lovely too. The shower and bed were as good as home. All round good value for a 3 star hotel.

“Absolute Value and Good Base to for Travelling”

If you want a solid base for exploring Paris that does involve a bit of travelling in and out, but does get you away from centre of the city, this is a good option. We stayed for four nights following a trip to Disneyland in order to do the tourist thing. On arrival the staff were perfectly friendly, affable and welcomed us with true Gallic charm. Our quad room was spacious and comfortable, but for a lingering smokey smell, was entirely habitable and I was pleased enough value and quality I had found. Room was cleaned regularly and breakfast was affordable with kids going free. For entertainment and R&R the hotel does have a pool table, Sauna, Internet station and restaurant bar available with an Irish Pub and Italian restaurant and creperie, Supermarket underneath. The area of Joinville Le-Pont however is not tourist friendly in respect of things to do so we travelled into Paris each day. This is simple and cheap. Overall I would have preferred to be slightly closer to Paris and possibly a room away from the General Gallieni road outside the window. (the french know where the horn is on the car!) Otherwise great hotel and superb value for money compared to other options.

We found the hotel as expected from the reviews at Expedia. Late checkin does not seem to be an issue - we did at 11:30 PM. Check in was quick. We had a car and it is fairly cheap for 1 night. We did not try break fast as we had other plans. Rooms seem to be well maintained with complementary stuff such as Tea/Coffee/Bisuits, Towels, Toiletteries. Although the hotel is on the road, the windows are good sound proofed I guess. I travel often on business and found that this hotel is just about right even for short business visits - our current visit was with family.

Hotel is clean and usable. No noise or ventilation problems. Easy to locate with our GPS. Parking for our rental car was under the hotel, safe and secure (but cost $). Breakfast plan was offered at check-in, but again, cost extra ($). Not much in local area for morning meals. Several diners for dinner though. Great Irish Pub for a drink is located just outside front door of hotel. Located on the outskirts of Paris, it's an easy 15 min drive to downtown to see the sights.

“I Wrote One Before Called Unpleasant Surprise”

See my previous review. The Hotel did respond to some of our concerns, but overall, the facility is simply not up to par. Should be a 1 -2 star at most.
