“Great hotel”

Lovely hotel. Spacious, nicely decorated rooms with very comfortable beds. Excellent price in a great location. It's located in front of the Newport Mall (even though we didn't go) and within walking distance of the Light Rail for a quick trip into Manhattan. There are lots of nice restaurants within walking distance. Also, a short walk to the Newport marina on the Hudson with spectacular views of midtown and lower Manhattan.

“Wonderful experience”

I will make this my hotel of choice whenever I'm travelling to NYC. It's very close to the PATH subway line, so I can get to Manhattan in 20 minutes, which is great. It's a very clean and very confortable hotel with a very helpful staff. You will not regret chosing this hotel.

“Great location and comfortable stay...”

Check in was later than expected and the room did not have a refrigerator to keep our things cold. Other than that the location was great (20 minutes to MSG and Penn Station) and the view of lower Manhatten was great too.

“Springsteen would be proud of this N.J. Gem!”

The Westin was well-maintained, comfortable, had an exceptional staff. It seemed a bit pricey-especially since it had guest-pay parking and didn't offer a continental breakfast.(I knew both these facts prior to booking it.) I am sure it was not out of line for other facilities in the locale of NYC The view of the New York skyline, especially the Freedom Tower, added to our over-all pleasure in being there. I will definitely go back there and recommend it to others, with a slight caveat re: price. Other than cost,it was exceptional

“Great place, easy access to Manhattan”

Very nice hotel. A five minute walk to the PATH station. I am pretty cheap on hotels but got this one at a great rate through expedia. The room was well decorated and very clean. I'd stay here and save the money over Manhattan any day.

“A Great Stay”

I enoyed my stay at the Jersey City Westin Hotel. From the time I arrived in front and received valet parking to the time I checked on Sunday and got back in my truck via valet attendants, I was happy. I enjoyed the ambience and the from the lobby al the way to our room. The service was good and the location is ideal. I spent my time in NY and when I got back around 2am, I was greeted by valet to kindly took my car and wish me a good night. I will definitely recommend this to anyone.

“Don't look any where else!”

Staying here before a family wedding. Although not in the city Great location for doing the tourist stuff in NY. Comfort and service excellent. Very good value for the money at the Expedia rates!

“Great hotel!”

I came from Canada to spend a few days in NY City and chose this time to stay in New Jersey because the rates were more affordable. This hotel is two blocks away from the PATH train station that goes to Manhattan. The travel time to 33rd Street is less than 10 minutes but if you count the total time from leaving the hotel until you reach downtown Manhattan, it can take up to 40 minutes depending on the time of the day. So this is a bit of an inconvenience, but on the other side, I had a great room in a very comfortable hotel, with great service, a good restaurant and a great shopping mall across the street. So I was really pleased and would definitely come back.

“Great Hotel for stay, Have breakfast elsewhere!”

The hotel is well maintained and the service is great. internet is by device and not room which is a little too much. Other than that the breakfast in this hotel is horribly expensive. You can buy excellent crab cake entrees for dinner at the hotel restaurant itself at the same price as breakfast. The breakfast only has eggs and sausage and fruits and toast for $18. Even the normal run of the mill business hotels provide more with Waffles and pancakes and such for the same price. Breakfast costing the same as a entree for dinner is too much especially for what is provided. You can walk down the street a block and find great breakfast for half the price.
