“OK if the destination is at the area of Hong Kong”

The service is overally at the level that they promised. I did issue a request about window maintainance. They took no action during my stay, which is OK. However, they were supposed to give me a hint of response.

“Worth the visit”

Hotel was great, rooms a little smalL but comfy. Location is a little out of the way but you get a feel for Hong Kong. The MTR is fantastic and it is not difficult or expensive to get around.

“Good Hotel on Hong Kong Island”

I like this hotel. I stay here everytime I go to Hong Kong. It has changed names 3 times as far as I know. It is very convenient for me. It is by my wife's family and some of mine as well. The staff was very polite.

“I had high expectations...”

The hotel is nice. Area is ver central. The Executive Lounge is a joke ad purchasing access only allows B-Fast in the AM and that was it. Everything else had to be paid for by charging to the room. Rooms are updated but VERY small. Staff does nto understand english very well and often act like they just fel off the moon... I will not go back to this hotel.

“Front desk service was poor, otherwise okay...”

This hotel is nice even though it is a bit far off from the central area of Hong Kong. Front Desk's service was not acceptable but the rest of the service and experience seem okay. Do not park at this hotel. Even if you are a hotel guest, they charge you an arm and a leg plus some other body parts and they are rude about it when you even try to argue you are a hotel guest.

“Decent business hotel”

This is an efficient business hotel run by the Island Shangri-La, which is a five-star hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms are small but large enough for those who are not spending significant amounts of time there. The only annoyance was the chair in the room which kept slinking and I could not adjust its height. I don't know if I'd stay here again however as it really is not within walking distance of anywhere I would need to go.

“Value for the money”

Good value for the price. Staff gave misleading infromation regarding ferries to China.

“Well managed, not convenient for biz travelers.”

VERY hard to find taxi in the morning. The hotel is too far from the subway station and it was too challenging to figure out transportation in the morning when we were rushing to a meeting. The hotel has a shuttle to the subway station once an hour, you have to ask for the schedule (they don't tell you). If you are able to catch the shuttle, it's clean and efficient. I think this hotel works well for leisure travelers but not so much for business travelers who are on schedule, need to drop off your bags and get change for evening events.

“Location suits us”

Having booked and paid for our stay some months in advance we were somewhat surprised that the only room available was designated as a 'disabled' room with with attendant 'extras' ie low bath and wash basin. We arrived on the Friday and the hotel didn't have a normal room until the Sunday.by which time we were settled and didn't want the disruption of a move. The 'Queen' size bed also turned out to be two singles pushed together. That said the room was clean and well valeted during our stay. We have stayed at the hotel before it became the 'Traders' with no problems and the location suits us, so we would probably stay there again when we next visit Hong Kong.
