“Hong Kong Traders”

We reserved this hotel under the impression that it was going to be a Shangri-La hotel. It is run by Shangri_la with very poor quality.

“Repeated customer, no complain”

Pro: well maintain building (formerly Jen Hotel),going to have MTR soon, friendly services. Con:Not that convenient yet (till MTR is done) unless you know how to get on 5B and 10 from Citibus. Not much to see around the Hotel.

Close to MTR is a must for visitors.

“Decent business hotel”

This is an efficient business hotel run by the Island Shangri-La, which is a five-star hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms are small but large enough for those who are not spending significant amounts of time there. The only annoyance was the chair in the room which kept slinking and I could not adjust its height. I don't know if I'd stay here again however as it really is not within walking distance of anywhere I would need to go.

“Cozy business hotel”

NIce and clean hotel. Rooms are small but so are most hotel rooms in HK. Location is convenient, especially for travel to central area.

The hotel is in Western district not too far from Cenral and the ferries. Great position for exploring all of Hong Kong.

“Good Hotel on Hong Kong Island”

I like this hotel. I stay here everytime I go to Hong Kong. It has changed names 3 times as far as I know. It is very convenient for me. It is by my wife's family and some of mine as well. The staff was very polite.

“advertise it as 2 stars , not 4”

It is a 2* hotel combined with some floors of 4* that I haven't seen. As well I asked for a queen bed non smoking 4* and I got a twin in a smoked stinking room...with less space that in the space shuttle Expensive breakfast..... 18 Pounds for an omelet an a yogurt carpets on the corridors from the 70's ...bad luck that that 70's show does not air anymore , it could be a good filming place At least they have a shuttle to and from the main places. Call the hotel for timing and reservations

“Neat, Tidy and substantial”

Although we were new to HK and the surrounding area wasn't the most upmarket the hotel was neat, tidy, crisp and new and suited all our needs. We will return again and am even considering it for a block visit when I relocate there but will need to upgrade to their club level to enjoy more facilities and spacious room.

Area recommendations

Stanley - very quaint and we are looking for a property there but it lacks hotels.
