“Not really impressed”
This hotel is a special one. They have turned a old classical mid range hk hotel into a design star. Realy? well... we love design hotels. However they have to find a balance. Mira is just too much. A lot of show off which kills the pleasure that design could bring. Even for the geeks we are, the room entertainment system is just overly complicated. The room remain of a limited size and once you have your suitcase open, you start wondering why they have put this egg chair in the middle .... design ! Staff attitude is not warm. Be patient for your luggage, they can take few hours before to reach your room. Best advise, limit your interaction with staff to the minimum requested. In summary: to much design, too expensive.
“Excellence is standard”
Smooth service throughout stay with very attentive and courteous staff. Room was comfortable and clean. For the promotional offer value, it was worth every penny and only enhanced my HK experience.
“When ever in HK that will be the one and only hotel for me.”
The most modern hotel I ever seen. The hotel team can't do enough to make your stay welcome and comfortable. I'm sorry I could not stay longer (stayed only 2 nights) to use all the wonderful facilities this hotel can offer. An amazing experience.
“It's good, but is it amazing?”
This hotel tries very hard and largely succeeds. There are lots of good things to say, which have mostly been covered by others, but on balance i was a bit disappointed after so many rave reviews. It's a good hotel, the staff were helpful and attentive, the bed comfortable, shower works etc etc. But the whole feel of the place is like a nigh club (no problem with that per se, but it's dark, little natural light), the soundproofing between the rooms is poor, the technology in the room looks cool, but the PC hums all night, the TV picture quality is poor and the choice of channels/ movies is limited. It's hard to criticise a place if you can feel comfortable, safe and can eat well - I think you can largely have all this at the Mira, but I think the positive reviews are a bit generous. I liked it, but will look at somewhere else in HK when I visit next.
“can't wait to go back”
Excellent hotel the service was more than what we expected. The club room was the best thing that we did and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
“Great Hotel”
Mira Hotel is great! It reminds me Cumberland Hotel in London. The staff was very helpful. The location is great. I strongly recommend it.
“Mira Magic”
This hotel definitely has the WOW factor! I flew to HK for 3 days and my daughter living there joined me for a wonderful stay. Even though the deal was for a king size bed I especially asked for twin and there was no problem with that. We had a Club City room and it was well worth the extra $$$. The private check-in and out at the Club Lounge and the amenities supplied there, including breakfast, all-day beverages, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and appetizers. The staff could not do enough for us - anything we asked for was no problem. Beautiful and bountiful toiletries in the bathroom and the best shower ever!!!. The ground floor foyer is a bit different - very modern and slightly dark - but do not let that deter you one bit. We will be staying there again next time I am in HK. FANTASTIC!!!
“Nice hotel in the shopping district”
We chose this hotel because our friends stayed there before. It was a good decision. It is close to everywhere.
“Most warm welcome ever experienced”
We booked the Mira for our honeymoon. I have NEVER experienced such a warm welcome by a hotel (we booked transfers from the airport), they took us to our room, showed us how all the gadgets worked (which were by far the most advanced of any hotel I have ever stayed), and gave us a bottle of bubbly. The GM greeted us as well as the customer relations manger to take us to our room. The bar had the BEST cocktails I have ever had, and the overall service second to none. Proximity was close to anything we needed to see in HK. I have since signed up for a corporate account. TOTALLY SATISFIED.
“Excellent boutique hotel in Kowloon”
Great hotel in TST if you like the boutique, trendy type. Excellent location, close to the MTR, and shops and restaurants. Very helpful and courteous staff. Probably the nicest shower in a hotel bathroom that I've experienced (water falls from the ceiling rain-like). Also very modern tech (flat panel TV, Bose ipod Sounddock, etc). Free wifi!
