the hotel was in a very good location for street markets and cafes.All very reasonable priced.mongkok is the chinese area of Kowloon so you get a realistic picture of Hongkong we had a good deal on breakfast in the hotel which was suffient.We would use the hotel again

“Great Location!”

The Metropark Hotel in Mongkok is perfectly located, very close to the metro, and the local shops, restaurants and markets are amongst the best in Hong Kong. I cant honestly say it's the best hotel I've ever stayed in, as far as room comfort. The room we stayed in was clean but small and dark, and with only one electrical wall socket was a pain. When booking, we were told that there was a charge for Internet connection, but in fact it was free, which was great as we had taken a laptop with us. Don't use the hotel laundry service, it's very expensive, it cost us over $600 for a few items. There's a laundry next door, which cost us only $26 just 2 pounds! The hotel staff were all very friendly, and we were made most welcome. All in all, and for the price we paid, it was a great place to stay.

“Good Hotel but not a family location”

I have just got back from a stay in this hotel. The hotel itself was very good... much better than what I expected reading other traveller's reviews on this hotel, but to put that into perspective I had booked a superior room and not a deluxe room. The room itself was comfortable enough as I was travelling alone without my family and actually I was pleasantly surprised that the room was quite spacious and did not feel cramped. However in saying that there were two things I must mention about this hotel...first and foremost is the fact that the bed was quite hard and the other is the location. The location itself is very central and very very close to public transportation (2 minute walk to the MTR) however the surrounding area is definitely not suitable for a family with small children. For me as a single person it was ok but would definitely think twice about staying there when I am travelling with my family. This is definitely not because of the hotel but because of the surrounding neighbourhood. Overall I would recommend this hotel to any single or even couple travellers as it is a very good hotel.

“Definitely felt like it was higher than rated”

It was a wonderful stay. When I booked it I thought it was just economical, but when I got there, the hotel was nicer in person and I thought it should have rated higher than online. The room was nice and clean and it was very comfortable.

“Hard Beds”

The hotel has a brilliant location for the night markets though a bit far from the waterfront. Food is good but not ver varied. The only down side is that the beds are normal double size instead of the usual super-kings which is the norm in Asia & were INCREDIBLY HARD !!!!

I am glad I choose the Metropark Hotel Mongkok at HongKong, All the staff in the hotel are very nice, and they could provide all the informations that I asked for, plus give you detail about them, that was very helpful. I am very appreciate .

it quite a little far away form everywhere... some confusion occure between mongkok and kowlune hotel when we asked taxi... it's good because it close to MTR
