“Hard to beat for the price”
My overall impression of the Metropark is that it's a great value. I generally choose price over convenience and amenities, but with this hotel, it didn't seem like I was sacrificing one for any of the others. Check in: When I arrived, my reservation was readily available, and I was assigned a room immediately. Staff: From check-in to check-out, no matter the time of day or night, in person or on the phone, I was treated with the utmost respect, and someone was available to communicate with me in English (a huge plus, as I know absolutely no Chinese). Room: Small, but very much in line with what I expect in Asia. The room had everything I needed, but little in the way of "decor" or embellishment. For anyone sensitive to the pliability of a mattress, I will say that the word "firm" doesn't quite do it justice. It was hard. Not an issue for me, but some might find it too much so. Complimentary wired internet made it easy to stay in touch. TV choices included a couple of English channels too. Outside sound was virtually nonexistent with the exception of demolition (day only) on a nearby building. Location: Less than two blocks from Nathan Road, and the Prince Edward subway station. Very short ride to the harbor by subway. Lots of neighborhood restaurants within a few blocks. If I go back to Hong Kong and can get a rate close to what I paid this time, I'd stay here again.
“Montropark Mongkok”
The toilet not working very well. The faucet is leaky. The carpet needs cleaning. The water from shower is very slow and poor. The room looks like standard more than superior.
“Definitely felt like it was higher than rated”
It was a wonderful stay. When I booked it I thought it was just economical, but when I got there, the hotel was nicer in person and I thought it should have rated higher than online. The room was nice and clean and it was very comfortable.
“Short night stay is okay”
If you think you want to stay longer, try another one. The bed is hard here. The room is old. If you are staying for a short night and leaving early, it's good to stay here for the price. Location is convenience to subway station. Subway can take you to Mongkok in only one stop, or you can walk about 7-8 blocks to Mongkok shopping areas/streets and Langham Hotel. I called twice for my internet cable. No one answered on the first time. However, I got my cable within 5 minutes after I made the second call. City Bus stops in front of the Hotel from airport. However, it's about 6-8 blocks to the City bus stop to airport.
“would go back”
hard to understand english at front desk. room a bit small
“good but not great”
A21 bus stop (airport express) is right outside of the hotel main entrance. walking distance from Lady's street; The location of the hotel is convenience for tourists; The room is not as big as I expected but acceptable. front desk is polite. A good but not great hotel with a reasonable price.
“Hotel in a great location”
This hotel is in a great location, very close to the Prince Edward MTR station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but that is the case in Hong Kong. You want a big room, you pay a big price.
“Definetely will go back”
Overall this hotel is very good except the room is a little bit too small but very clean. Location is convenience for shopping and eating also there is bus running from the airport to this hotel, close to subway station. The only thing too is this hotel doesn.t have wi-fi. and only give us 1 small bottle water for 2 persons.
“Stay Away”
The hotel is old and in a terrible location. Not at all what I had expected and not at all like other Metropark hotels. Way below expectations and I would NEVER go back. It is far to expensive for such a poor quality hotel and not at all worth the money.
“Good value and well located”
The hotel is good value for money and very well located. My colleague was given a very small room but was changed to a larger on request. Free internet and everything a traveller needs in terms of services. The staff were particularly helpful.
