“too far from subway”

“Near the open markets”
Small, but clean rooms. Hotel service was great and the morning buffet breakfast was excellent. A short walk to both the day and night open markets, which are always fun. Close to the train station as well. A taxi ride to the ferry service to go to Hong Kong island, but not expensive.
“Not a bad stay”
Metropark Hotel in Kowloon is a fairly standard place to stay. Clean enough, comfortable enough and the staff are reasonably nice. Overall we were pretty comfortable, close to train stations and close to shops etc. Good, affordable place to stay, nothing very fancy.
“Good value outside the center”
The hotel is big and in good shape. Many cafes nearby. They provide free shuttle service very 30 minutes to the Mong Kok station, or the Mong Kok East station is a 10-minute walk. This is a convenient hotel if you are going to/from Shenzhen since the Mong Kok East station is on the rail line that goes to Shenzhen. When arriving from the airport, they have a bus shuttle service to the hotel for a relatively modest fee. As far as breakfast, skip the hotel breakfast and go to the dimsum banquet hall across the street for a real local's experience.
“Good choice”
Stayed here on vacation (to attend brother in laws wedding) Sept 29-Oct 4 and found the room to be clean, if small (hey you're in a major metropolitan area surrounded by water and mountains so what would you expect) but nicely appointed. Service was good and prompt when I asked for help with connecting to the free internet (wired and someone came to my room in 5 minutes with another cat 5 cable at 2am when I had trouble getting online) and when I needed another adapter (also within 5 minutes of calling). Used hotel restaurant for breakfast twice using their $50HK/person off coupon for a breakfast buffett bringing the cost down to $78HK or about $10US for a nice variety of choices. Not the greatest but an adequate meal to start the day and reasonable given you are in a hotel in HK. Surrounding area is also nice for HK. As my wife explained to me, this is considered a middle class area with lots of families living within a mile or so in nicer apartments. Coming from suburbia it looked somewhat rundown but I don't live in a large, old city so I am not the best judge. Transportation should not be a problem as there is an airport/hotel shuttle for $100HK/person or taxis that cost us about $250HK or I heard the subway (MTR) costs $90HK/person but since the taxi is only $60HK or about $8US more for 2 we took the taxi. Getting around town is also easy as the hotel has its own shuttle that goes to Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui every 30 minutes. Or you can take a taxi.
“Great service, reasonably close to everything”
Can't think of any negative feedback, so it must have been good. Rooftop pool was very nice.
“Kowloon Metropark”
We stayed at Metropark in Causeway bay and loved it so we thought kowloon's metropark must be great too. The room is way tiny, this branch is also very dated. Also, despite being on the 19th Floor, there's a lot of machine noise -- not from another building or the streets but from the hotel itself. The elevator makes a loud mechanical noise each time it stops at a floor. We were far from the elevator but still heard it loud and clear and I'm not exaggerating. Service and cleanliness was great but I will not stay at this hotel ever again.
“Nice hotel.”
Following the advice from another review, I booked the deluxe room of this hotel and requested the VIP floor (in my case it is 17/F). The room was clean and of decent size, and the air conditioning was comfortable in the summer weather. It also provided a complimentary fruit plate. The breakfast buffet cost HK$91 (including service charge and with a HK$50 hotel coupon). The Wellcome supermarket is right across the road. The location is a little inconvenient, but with the shuttle service it is not too bad. It would be nice if they put a copy of their hotel shuttle schedule, route map and stops on their website so that first time customer knows where to board the shuttle.
“great service”
great service reasonable price friendly staff and excellent shuttle bus service was ther for 6 nights felt at ease from day one stayed in club room wich was nice included breakfast wich was terrific good selection very clean and well maintained. all and all will stay there again if i go back definately will recommend to family and friends
“Not Impressed”
I don't no why most of transportation like Taxi don't recognize the place. I was not impressed because most likely people i've met in that location didn't no either the place/location. If ever i have change to visit Hongkong, I don't want to stay in that Hotel again.
