“Clean & Comfortable”

This hotel is affiliated with the Boy Scouts (the BP stands for Baden Powell). The lobby is very elegant, and check in was a breeze. There are four elevators to the right of the check-in desk. The dining area is located on the upper ground floor. All three meals are served buffet style. Breakfast has a combination of western and eastern choices, and was very good. I cannot speak to lunch or dinner as I never ate there for either of those meals. The room is small by US standards, and it had a full bathroom unlike some other hotels I checked out. The beds were very firm, but that how I like them. To get the room lights to work you have to insert your room key into a small box by the light switches. Once the key is removed from the box the lights will go out after a couple of minutes. There is also free wireless in room, but the signal is much stronger in the lobby. The location of the hotel is perfect, and getting to it is easy. Take the airport express to Kowloon station and then the free shuttle, K4, which runs every 15 minutes, will drop you off at the front door. Kowloon Park is directly south of the hotel and make for a great short cut when walking to the Star Ferry terminal. Nathan Road is about one block east, and the Temple Street Night Market is just a couple block north of front door of the hotel. The Jordan street MTR station is also just a couple blocks north on Nathan Road. If or when I return to Hong Kong I would definately stay here again.

“Boy Scouts do well”

I have stayed at BP International before - very convenient location and a safe and friendly hotel for a single woman traveller. The room was excellent - TV, Safe, good A/c, plenty of space. My booking went smoothly. THe only thing that could be better was that the hot water took a long time to come through into the shower and it was difficult to adjust. I will be happy to stay there again.

Area recommendations
I like the Tsim Sha Tsui or Jordan areas of Kowloon. They are handy for transport and shopping. Lots of restaurants, the park or waterfront to walk around for exercise, close to the museums and art galleries. I lived in HK for a long time and feel comfortable in this area - it is safe to be out and about by yourself at night as a single woman.
Shopping
I like Stanley Market and Fa Yuen Street for market/outlet shopping.
Outdoors or beach
People don't think of HK as a place for walking but in the cooler weather it has wonderful bush walks and you can connect with public transport at either end. A lovely day out is to go to Lamma on the ferry to Yung Shue Wan, then walk across the island to Sok Kwu Wan (about 2 hours), have a meal at one of the sea food restaurants and catch the ferry back to Central.

“Great Location”

I only had only night here and i wished i had more. The location of the hotel was really good. Getting to the hotel from the airport was really easy. I took the airport train to Kowloon station and took the free bus shuttle No. K4 which takes you right to the hotel. I took the same route in reverse to when i was going home. I had the Harbour Parkview room and the view from the room was awesome. I went for a walk the afternoon i was there and i was amazed how quickly i got the Star Ferry Pier. The gardens to the rear of the hotel are lovely to walk through. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. They have a tourist desk there which is a great idea for day trips and the like.

“SECOND STAY AS GOOD AS THE FIRST”

This was my second stay at this hotel. It's very convenient to restaurants, shops, night market and two MTR stations. The airport shuttle bus from Kowloon Station calls at the door to pick up and deliver passengers. The staff are very professional and friendly. The rooms are an adequate size and in good condition. Bed is comfortable with good pilows. Rooms are quiet. Breakfast buffet is excellent. I would not consider staying anywhere else when I am in Hong Kong.

Area recommendations
Jordan area of Hong Kong is excellent for tourists being well served by the MTR station and buses, with lots of restuarnats and good shopping. Kowloon Park is also nearby to escape teh bustle of the city when you need to.

“A good bargain in Hong Kong”

This hotel is easily accessed from the airport. Take the Expres Train to Kowloon Station and a free shuttle bus is waiting to take you to the hotel. Located at the end of Kowloon Park. Cut through the park and it's a short walk to The Penninsula Hotel area. Easy check-in, no-smoking rooms on the 19th floor. All rooms have a city view (which was beautiful at night) or a harbor view. We were upgraded to a harbor view room because we arrived at the hotel about 9:00 a.m and those rooms were already cleaned. Very nice buffet breakfast, but NOT included in room rate. Rooms were a bit small, but perfectly acceptable. Showers only. A good breakfast restaurant across the ped X-ing. Quiet, good night's sleep. No complaints. Expedia rate saved us $45 over travel package rate! Would definitely stay there again.

Area recommendations
Tsim Tsam Tsui (?) is the where the Penninsula Hotel, Sheraton, etc. are located. It is referred to as The Golden Mile. Very safe, lots of upscale shops and restaurants - lots of people watching, etc. The BP International was just on that edge and we walked there to have a drink and walk around the water. It is the happening place at night. Ferry terminals are there and trips to Macau and Disney land are located there. The price for these hotels is very expensive, so we opted for the very nice BP International which is a short distance away.
Getting there
The best part for us was the ease in getting to the hotel. Simply buy a train ticket at the airport kiosk and proceed out the door. You are now at the train station. Board the train and get off at Kowloon Station. (A 15-20 minute ride). At the Kowloon station you board a free hotel shuttle bus. Buses are clearly marked with the hotels they service. BP is Green 4. The bus drops you off directly at the hotel. If you fly with Cathay Pacific, there is a baggage check-in counter at the Kowloon Train Station. Check your bags, get on the train and get off at the airport. Easy! Round trip tickets cost about $16.00.

“Good location and excellent service”

I would come back to this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, the front desk guys were very helpful. The location was great..close to the rail station and the main city attractions. Easy to find. Do not take the tour that the hotel recommend instead use the expedia recommended tours...it was a waste of time. They take you to many places where the people almost forced you to uy things. The tour is a must since if you are by yourself you will be loose in the city. The people does not speak any english.

“Nice hotel with excellent views of Kowloon”

This hotel was amazing. I have never had better views from a hotel before. The only issue was that it was a little far away from the train stations if you're trying to schlep baggage to your hotel.
