Great hotel. Very clean. Recommend club level. Only downside is that it is away from the city centre.

We were extremely pleased with our 6 night stay at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi. While it is a around 2km from the 'Old Quarter', it is a relatively easy walk if you are not in a hurry otherwise just catch a taxi for around US$2

Excellent hotel, very well run. Very good food, including breakfast, smooth service. Location a bit away from the center, but taxis are waiting, and the ride takes 10-15 minutes. The upside is - easier access to the airport, which considering the mad traffic can be important.

I like the the great close up views of the lakes.The buffet breakfast was superb and staff were helpful and curteus. An overall nice stay and experience for me.

Excellent hotel in a good location. The room I was in offered the overall view of the 2 lakes. This hotel is recommended.

“Best Hotel in Hanoi”

Sofitel offered the best view in Hanoi. Extremely helpful staff who helped find my mobile phone after losing it in a taxi !! They went through their security camera footage to work out the taxi registration number, then called the company, found the driver and got my phone back. The gym and swimming pool were great. And their yum cha is the best I've ever had. Loved their summit bar I strongly recommend Sofitel.
