“Secure, clean and cheap.”
Small rooms but confortable, very secure, and clean. Near city main attractions. Great value for my money.
“city center venue”
This affordable hotel is located in the direct neighborhood of all most important Granada "must-see" places, 5 minutes to the cathedral or a closest bar, 5 minutes to abyazin, 15 minutes to alhambra. It is worth recommending on the quality/price bases, since the quality of rooms might be questioned. As it is rather a hostel style the co-guests used to be extremely noisy in the evenings and walls are thin.
“Ok hotel, good value for location.”
Ok hotel, good value for location.
“Inexpensive and unremarkable, but perfectly adequate”
Central location and low price are the best things about this hotel. The room was a decent size, decent beds, decent bathroom. We did always seem to end up requesting towels, but this wasn't a major problem. No outside phone calls can be made from the room, but there are pay phones in the lobby and fairly close down the street. The elevator is quite old and small, but worked well. The hotel layout is definitely odd, with the stairs and elevator (to floors 3, 4, and 5) being through a door and almost in another building, which is accessible by another door without having to go by the front desk. Odd, but not a big deal. Definitely check out the street with all of the North African restaurants and tea rooms (Calendrier Nuevo, I want to say, but I can't quite remember the name), a left off of the Gran Via as you are heading toward the center of town. North African tea rooms are excellent (almond batidos, delicious tea and pastries), and the shops have incredible North African items. Las Cuevas is a restaurant with excellent teas and dinners.
“No windows”
Very small and basic room with a first class bathroom. Cleaned every day to a high standard. No windows therefore depressing and impossible to judge outside conditions. Staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. Was considerably noisy at night, mainly from other residents coming and going. Central location within easy walking distance from the Alhambra. OK for one or two nights but not longer. No catering facitlies apart from vending machines.
“Not impressed”
Even considering the cheap price, the hostal was not impressed well.
“It's ok”
Not too bad, but don't have high expectations. Relatively conveniently located to walking to all the stuff in the center of Granada and to Alhambra bus. For some reason, the air conditioner didn't work in the room but luckily it was not too hot outside.
“nice,cheap and clean”
If aim your visit to Granada is to see the marvellous Al Hambra, then you just need a clean, cheap and a nice hotel. This is the right address. It is on the public bus route too. Also inside the hotel you can find vending machines for coffee, cold beverages and as well internet.
“Great for college kids, not really what you would want as a mture adult”
The hostal is very well located, but tiny, unaccomodating, and very minimalistic in every sense. Pay 10 dollars more and get a room in an actual hotel.
“At least the lobby looked nice...”
The hotel lobby is much fancier and more spacious than the rooms themselves. We had a triple room, and it was VERY tight. However, the location is great, and they do offer parking (albeit the smallest parking garage elevator I have ever encountered...thank goodness my passengers got out and were able to guide me in!) The annoying part of this hotel was that it definitely didn't want you using the electricity. The only room plug was pretty much behind a bed headboard (making it near impossible to charge my batteries, for example) AND the room key card had to be in the slot in order for the electricity to work. So, we could only charge batteries while we were physically in the room...not great when 3 people are trying to share one plug! We found a great, buffet-style restaurant with salad bar, soups, pizzas, and desserts...while I don't recall the exact name, I believe it was "Fresh Co." or something like that. It was located near the hotel, on the main street. It was a refreshing change from the Spanish fare, with lots of veggie options, for 1 good price. We ate there twice, and wished other cities had it!!
