"Cozy, quite, relaxing cabin, well stocked, well decorated with quality furniture, very clean, relaxing creek right off the the back porch, few sightings of wildlife (large red-headed woodpecker and a few deer) and of course....the large firepit & charcoal grill, where family visited & ate for the day. Highly recommend. Will re-visit in the future."

"Very comfortable and well cared for. Spiral staircase to large upstairs bedroom. Wood floors shining. Property is on a dirt road which is a bit rough but also, no traffic past the lodge and a good place for a walk. Though we brought our own food, there was a lovely plate of apple cake,cookies and loaf of homemade bread waiting for on arrival that we enjoyed. A nice touch. Only negative was limited silverware and a sauce pan would be nice. Overall, an enjoyable stay. No tv or internet but I used...

Her communication was thoughtful (providing check-in information, a hand-drawn map of the surrounding streets and highlighting the parking, and a list of local restaurants in Clearfield). There was a kitchen and full-sized refrigerator, as well as soda / candy / chips available to purchase on the honor system (it was good for my kids to see that). This was beyond perfect, and I couldn't recommend it more. "

"This is a great hotel. Nice staff, very clean, and quiet. Water pressure in the shower could have put out the Great Chicago Fire. Very exhilarating. I am making this my go-to place when I am in this area. We also found a fantastic Mexican restaurant in Groundhog Plaza, Taco Inc. Wonderful food and good prices. Try it, you'll like it."
