The location was a positive. It was close to the beach and the shops.
The room was not the cleanest. The closets just had items thrown in it. The dishwasher did not operate well. The couches were not clean under the cushions. The outdoor grill I was unable to use because the tank would not warm the hot plate. I called to report the grill issue, but it was not resolved.
The apartment was spacious and well set out with one bathroom and bedroom on one side and the other bathroom and bedroom on the other side with the living areas in between which meant I could go to bed early if I chose and not hear my teens giggling. It is a perfect location with loads of parking available, short walk to busy James St and the beach plus it has a heated pool on site too. Friendly front reception staff and easy check in, great pricing.

When we arrived to our room it had not been cleaned, beds unmade and dirty towels in the bathroom. Firstly we were told they will clean this room however came back and told us they will change us to another room. We went to the new room - this was definite a down grade and 2 story which didn't help as I had a broken foot which could be easily seen. My husband went back down to reception and they said they would clean our original room. Close to 3 hours later we finally got into a clean room. Payment was proceeded and a discount was not received even though we were not at fault. The manager did say on check out that she had made a note on our file that next time we came back we worked be looked after..... we won't be back. One of the ladies at reception was lovely and very apoligetic but management need to lift their game.

Hello and thank you for your feedback regarding this unfortunate situation. Absolutely not an excuse for checking you into a dirty apartment, but just by way of explanation, navigating new software meant that your apartment was missed on the cleaning list. The three bedroom apartment offered as a substitute was intended as a way of getting you into an apartment more quickly. It's actually a lovely 3 Bedroom with ocean views and a spacious terrace, but possibly after your negative arrival experience, it felt as though you were being fobbed off into a lesser standard apartment. The lovely ladies at the front desk honestly didn't realise you would have trouble navigating stairs or I promise they wouldn't have offered it to you, they were a bit under the pump and thought it a good alternative. Finally, the long wait for the room was due to the front desk girls needing to get into your apartment and clean it properly for your eventual check in. We should have offered you a meal or at the very least a drink at Club Burleigh, but on reflection, our lovely relief manager decided you needed to be recompensed with another stay at our expense. I'm so grateful that you have taken us up on our offer and hope that when you come back in August, you can experience the friendly and efficient service we are known for, and our clean and comfortable apartments. Once again, our thanks for your understanding and your valuable feedback.
This property is a real gem among the hustle and bustle during the busy school holiday period. We were impressed from the very first moment we arrived right to the end of our stay. A quiet and most relaxing experience was enjoyed at Swell, we’ll certainly be back soon. We recommend a stay at Swell, you won’t be disappointed with everything including the beach at your doorstop.

Clean and good location
Clean apartment, quiet inside apartment when doors and windows are closed. Club Burleigh directly below, food was surprisingly good. Handy location to all shops and beach.
1143 had a fantastic balcony with a great view of ocean and pool. Fast lifts. Great facilities- bbq, tennis court, gym, large pool and spa. Easy walk to beach, cafe, restaurants and Woolworths. My daughter loved the huge tv with free Foxtel.
Highly recommend Swell Resort and can’t think of anything I didn’t like.

Location was great, and the resort was clean and well looked after.
A couple of issues: the clothes dryer wasn't working. It kept turning off after a few seconds. The TVs may also need updating, but other than that, I would definitely come back again.

Apartment had an odd smell. Great view but very noisy on main road. Bed was uncomfortable. In a good location close to shops, cafes and bars.

Good location.
The property and management was disappointing.
The apartment was sparse and outdated. Lounge was not clean. It had visible wear. There was basic kitchenware, a dishwasher that was old with no instructions for use, cheap plastic handled cutlery and no champagne glasses.
Reception closes at 1 pm on weekends in a resort. That’s ridiculous. Receptionist didn’t want to assist with a request as she was eager to depart at 1.
Location was good altough very noisy from traffic. Room size good but needs work inside paint peeling in shower doors dirty with grime. Tv remotes didnt work had to go buy batteries. Paid alot for 2 nights and wouldnt stay there again
