We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The staff was friendly and we felt welcomed. The room was above our expectations.

Very English. There was 3 of us - husband, wife and 17 year old son. Rooms are grand - in the old English style. Resturant and breakfast is very good. Best we had in the UK. Thoroughly recommended. Handy to Cotswolds if you have a car. On site parking. Fast internet.

“Great find in Cheltenham”

Stayed on 6th July 2012, extremely warm welcome in reception and also in the bar by Scott. The room was very clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable. Food in the hotel was of a good standard but priced realistically, unlike some chain hotels. Free on site parking and wi fi are a bonus. A short walk to the heart of Chelmsford, yet set in a lovely quiet residential square. Would most certainly recommend to other travellers.

Staff were very friendly. The location was great for access to Cheltenham. We dined in the Joules restaurant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The teddie bear on the bed was a nice touch.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food good and reasonable at both breakfast and in the restaurant at dinner. Our room was a strange shape but reasonable in size, the bed was very comfortable with lovely bedding and pillows. Our bathroom again was okay sizewise but needed at little attention, plently of super white fluffy towels though. On arrival there were issues with parking but this improved as the weekend progressed. Overall really good value for money, would stay again if in the area and we loved the Teddies in the rooms!

“Best night's sleep we've had in a city hotel”

The hotel is at the back of a quiet square. The staff were very helpful and we particularly liked all the Victorian prints on the stairs - a characterful hotel - we'll definitely stay there again.

“BEST IN CHELTENHAM”

We had a few issues regarding our stay, and the entire staff were amazing helpful and courteous and very prompt in resolving these issues. They truly went above and beyond. I would, in fact, give this hotel 5 stars across the board, considering they are probably the nicest place to stay in Cheltenham, if I had not just checked out of a major 5 star hotel in London a few days before. In any case, I would definitely return to this hotel!
