“Good budget hotel”

A good budget hotel with pleasant staff and great location. Rooms in building across back of property are quiet and have nice view of adjacent woods. Continental breakfast included fresh fruit, and was generally good.

“It is what it is.”

I was looking for an inexpensive place to spend two nights while attending a wedding and this was a good place to do that. The amenities were very limited and the motel had many needs for maintenance, but it met my needs and had the basics that I needed.

“UF vs FSU Weekend”

Last minute reservation due to the game being moved to 7 PM. Only place that had rooms. Was OK because we were only in the room for less than 9 hours. Was sharing the room with my brother in-law, no way my wife would have stayed in the room.

“Old, not well kept”

The motel was old (which is OK) but not well kept. The beds were fairly comfortable, but poor atmosphere. A muffin with no juice was the continental breakfast.

“Be fully informed before making reservations ...”

I knew this would be a low-budget stay, but I wanted a continental breakfast and free wi-fi. The latter worked o.k. The free breakfast included coffee, unripe bananas, and Little Debbie's type snacks. Not o.k. I stayed three days and was not late to breakfast, so this was not a fluke. But the newspaper delivery guy and people who appeared to probably live at the hotel did not mind filling their pockets. The bed seemed clean and the TV, fridge and microwave worked well and I appreciated having them. The toilet was not clean, and someone else's food had been left in the microwave. Much of the furniture was thrift-shop old, and the very thin veneer on the bathroom counters was peeling. There was a small playground and a clean-looking pool that families might enjoy. The sliding glass doors on the ground floor might be considered a positive feature by some, negative by others. It was not too noisy, even over the weekend, and was conveniently located. I did not see any bugs (it was January, though#. Bottom line: know what you're signing up for and weigh it against your travel priorities. McDonald is very near for an alternate, inexpensive breakfast. Sam's Club is across the street for those who want to use the fridge and microwave #plus the Sam's cafe counter has pizza and hot dogs). I would avoid the Wal-Mart, which looked like it was going out of business - empty shelves, poorly kept. At night, the sign only lit up to read "Wal-Mar," which was amusingly appropriate.

“Not Staying There Again”

Room was dingy, paint peeling, curtains stained and falling off the rod. I had to ask for extra blankets and meet the guy to get them, no extra towels. Continential breakfast, had no fruit, juice and no coffee was ready at 9:00 am. There was not enough water pressure in the shower to even get the soap out of your hair.

“Very Run Down :(”

I've stayed in my share of cheap hotels, but this was hands down the SKANKIEST room I've ever rented. I had to take pictures to add to my vacation collection because no one would believe the level of nastitude. Peeling paint, rotten wood, cigarette burns on everything, a stink the likes of which no man has ever smelled, a giant moldy water eroded hole in the bathroom wall, big rough gaps between the tile and the wall....I could go on and on. I might have overlooked most of this if there was Internet in the room, which there was NOT! There were a few good points though. The woman working the front desk was friendly and helpful. There was a mini fridge and a microwave in my room. It's right across the road from a cemetery. And that's it. I would suggest shelling out the extra ten bux for something with WIFI and sound construction.
