"Very clean and neat with friendly staff. They were very willing to help out and respectful at all times. It seems the hotel is recently renovated so the room condition is modern and warm. At first it was a little hard to find since Expedia map points to the wrong location, but we were very happy when we got to our room. The onsen spa or public bath is in excellent condition with full coverage of all the amenities!"

The views from the room was beyond picturesque, it was one of those moments when you just sip your coffee and just look at the sun riseing up out of the ocean with the volcanic looking island scattered along the cost and think this is something. "Nansuikaku is a beautiful ryokan in a village location. The food was top quality, breakfast and dinner. Having a bathroom and onsen in the room was a good way to go for the shy foreign traveller, but they also have access by booking (40 min per day) to the family onsen which is good for couples wanting to experience onsen together. We travelled to the location by local bus from Fukuoka and continued on to Beppu by local bus and train - so the isolation is not a problem if you have time."

"It's a property rich in history, culture, art, furnishings, aesthetics. Staff are helpful, informative, attentive. They are welcoming, friendly. The rooms are clean, diverse in style, comfortable, with great views of sky, water, beach, pine trees, islands, and mountains. Sandy beach and surf are just in front of the ryokan. The food is extraordinary, plentiful, delicious servings of traditional Japanese-style breakfast and dinner. The seafood is incredible. You must reserve for dinner by noon of...

"석식과 조식이 매우 맘에 들었습니다. 대체적으로 깔끔하고 잘 관리가 되어있었고 프라이빗온천은 물이 그다지 깨끗한 느낌은 아니어서 비교적 빠른 시간에 예약하는 것이 좋을 듯 합니다. 난방은 히터뿐이라 2월 기준 잘 때 좀 추웠습니다. 하지만 다음에도 기회가있다면 또 방문하고싶은 곳입니다!"

"It was a present stay, nice hotel, large room, nice garden. However, last year we stayed in Japanese room in Art Hotel (the same building) it was much newer. This suisui room is very nice but bathroom a bit damp and scary for kids. "

"This place felt like a home away from home. It was comfortable and the kids loved it! The only critiques that I would give it is checking in could be smoother because we did not know how to get into the building. We were waiting outside at 3pm and eventually a woman let us in. Also, the tablet for checkout would not turn on and so we had to just leave the room when we were ready to leave. Overall, it was really nice and we would stay there again."
